On our way to visit the Spoetzl Brewery, we made time to see the SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. What a hidden treasure of a sight!! As we drove in the parking lot, 2 workers were by the back door taking care of their day. We were going to ask them permission to go in, but I figured we try the doors first. To our surprise, the doors were unlocked. We walked in and were taken away by the beauty of the architecture, the stained glass windows, and the dome alter. This beautiful church reminded me of the ones in and around Panna Maria. Don’t pass up this church whenever you’re near Shiner, Texas

We were looking for something FUN to do and would help with Team building skills in our office. We found it! The staff was very helpful and super friendly. Lots of fun...we WILL be back.

Today’s Spoetzl Brewery is a far cry from the old tin shed where Shiner first flowed back in 1909. We think our founder, Kosmos Spoetzl, would probably be amazed at our state-of-the art Brew House. He’d also be happy to know we still brew every drop of Shiner right here in Shiner, Texas. Stop in for a tour and the first round is on us. And the second.
We stopped in for a day trip while visiting our son in Victoria intending to spend a couple hours in Shiner. We spent three! Norman gave us a great brewery tour and with out visit we had a number of complimentary tastes of Shiner beers. Almost all of these were excellent. Being a vet, my group got in free. A huge bonus! We had more beer than we could take and spent our savings on Shiner gear. This was a great stop and a fine local/independent brewery. Drink more Shiner!
