Definitely would recommend checking this small museum out if you are in the Shawano area. It is very cool and has some great Wisconsin history. Lots of other things to check out in the area including some really good restaurants close by that serve Sun Drop :p

There aren't too many choices for entertainment in the area but this is a pretty good option. The hotel expansion and improvements to the casino have been positive. The $3 blackjack minimum is the lowest I have come across. Disappointed that the craps table didn't open until 6pm. Plenty of slot machines to choose from. The casino seemed surprisingly smokey since it was not very crowded and the space was renovated not that long ago. More should be done to the improve this.

Had not been here for many years. New owners bought place past February. Cozy place. Immaculate bathrooms. Delicious food. Excellent soups homemade daily. Friendly owners. Nice selection of food with daily specials. Everything was so good and fresh. Even free dessert cookies. We will be back for sure. Very good pricing as well.

Their are many nice shops in the downtown area. The farmers market is a must. Good friendly bars and nice little shops to check out.

We just got back from a tubing trip on the Wolf river with Mountain Bay Outfitters and had a great time. The trip was about two hours. We didn't have to walk a step, which is really great compared to other lower Wolf river trips we have been on where we walked almost the entire time. It's a very relaxing tube trip down a nice river stretch. The return shuttle pulled up just as we arrived at the pier. We would highly recommend for a relaxing summer day - and will be back ourselves.
