Pinnacles Provincial Park

It's a short drive (10 minutes) out of Quesnel but well worth the time. It's low key and the path wanders for a bit. But stick with it and you'll find yourself at the edge of a bluff/precipice with great views of the town, the valley, and some hoodoos. A simple, short, rewarding adventure.

Craft brewing done right! I had the opportunity to taste several types of brews at this establishment and can say that the atmosphere and staff are awesome. If passing through Quesnel it's a must see. With a tasting done regularly of the newest brews you always get something new.

Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park

Ten Mile Lake is a very popular recreational destination for local residents and visitors. It offers multiple lakeside picnic areas, change houses, playground, two large Beaches with roped off swimming areas, a boat launch, reservable picnic shelter, walking trails and great fishing. The Lakeside Campground features attractive, treed campsites, showers and flush toilets. While the Touring Campground offers sunny, open sites with 23 pull through sites capable of handling even the largest RV's on the road. Take a rewarding 2-km hike on the old railway grade along the lake, and through the forest to a large beaver pond. For those that enjoy fishing but don't have a boat we have a great fishing dock that was installed in 2015 thanks to the efforts of the Fresh Water Fisheries Society of BC and the Quesnel Rod & Gun Club.

Large sites with lots of trees for privacy. Clean facilities and clean washrooms. You have to pay for firewood. Nice lake with decent fishing. New dock too. Playground for kids . The beach isn't the greatest,it pebbles not much sand. Lots of picnic tables. Great...MoreThanks for staying with us, we look forward to having you visit again. Quesnel's Historic Fraser River Foot Bridge

Reviewed By Via_girl - Qualicum Beach, Canada

Back in the day this bridge was open to car traffic but today it is part of a popular walking trail. It is beautifully preserved with pictures and signage that tell of its history. The sheer expanse of the bridge makes it unique and being able to see the mighty Fraser River beneath you is pretty amazing. It is right downtown so easy to find parking. There are beautiful adjoining trails along the river if you enjoy a longer walk.

Located just off Hwy 97 at the edge of downtown, it has ample off-street parking. Out front they have a well tended rose and flower Gardens and the visitor centre is located in a large park, which has a playground, water/spray park and ball diamond.
While the building isn't as impressive as Williams Lake, we found the staff extremely pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable of the local attractions.
The museum is also accessed from this facility.

Watched many people out fishing and a number were successful.

Quesnel Farmers' Market

Reviewed By Lauren V P - Vancouver, Canada

We were lucky enough to be in Quesnel on a Saturday and noticed a sign for the farmers' market. I am so glad we went! There were a whole bunch of vendors selling everything you could imagine. I really like to buy local when I can so it was a great chance to stock up on local fruit, baked goods and organic meats. You could also find jewelry, soap, birdhouses, art and all sorts of other items available.
We really enjoyed our whole stay in Quesnel but I'd have to say this visit was a highlight. I would absolutely recommend you check it out if you have the chance.
