Trinity Church - also known as the Sandstone Church - sits on a very small island in the Racquette River in Potsdam NY. It's constructed from the local red sandstone and is one of the most historic structures in Potsdam. Fine organ too. It's worth checking out. I have stopped to visit it many times.

This is one of the great choices for fine dining or just a beer and sandwich with friends. Steaks, seafood, and nightly specials. You'll be happy you stopped. Often high quality local entertainment on the weekends. There is a wonderful balcony over the Raquette River out back, which you'll enjoy on warm evenings. Try it!

I can not say enough good things..the atmosphere is fantastic and the service rocks. We each had different items from the menu and we all raved about the quality, (and we had one of us who is always particularly critical). the pricing is fantastic for a college town, both for the food and the cocktails and the service could not have been better. This all added up to, "WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK". Thank you to everyone at HALF TONS for a very nice experience.

SwingTime is the place to go when you want to have a little fun!
We saw the sign for the course while driving down the road. The course is hidden behind a house and barn and you may not think at first glance that it is a place worth visiting. We had a great time! We arrived shortly after closing time, 7pm, but the owner allowed us to plan anyway. She was very friendly. The course was very pretty and very well maintained. We will definitely go back when we are in town.

McDuff's Pub is under new ownership and underwent extensive reservations. We have a brand new menu of freshly prepared meals and source all products locally when possible. Full bar on offer with specials each night of the week and the best happy hour in town that runs from 4PM-9PM, seven nights a week!
I've been here twice for a sandwich. The place has been renovated and there is obviously an effort being made to serve way better than "bar food". Not a large menu but some interesting sounding grilled cheese sandwiches and the grilled chicken sandwich I had was excellent - comes with thick cut back and shrooms. And the fries were really good!

While funded in part by local tax payers and other sources, this local library rocks when it comes to the services and opportunities afforded to its users. Families LOVE the kids section resources and play area, and Seniors love the casual seating and available print news and magazines, and Everyone loves the computer access, DVD rental loan program, and wide lending area from the Northern NY system. GREAT users access hours and true commitment to learning with tech and learning classes taught periodically. Can't ask for more than this place gives in 2018!

AT TACTICS, YOUR QUICK THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS WILL BE PUT TO THE TEST. YOU MUST FIND CLUES, SOLVE PUZZLES, AND WORK AS A TEAM TO COMPLETE YOUR OBJECTIVE. DON'T BE FOOLED BY TRIVIAL INFORMATION, AS TIME WAITS FOR NO MAN. THE CLOCK STARTS AS SOON AS YOU ENTER THE ROOM.
So currently there are three rooms that cost money. The virus/containment room, the art heist, and jail break. One ten minute room that's free to try.
The art room and the virus lab room are 40 minutes and the jail is around 20 minutes. The art heist is the hardest. I've done all the rooms but the jail break.
If you have never done an escape room before I highly recommend this place. They have a mini room called The Study, it's a free 10 minute taste of what it's like. So if you're unsure if you're any good at it or if you'd like it stop by and try the free room with a friend.
They let you do the rooms with two people but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're well versed in escape rooms. The rooms are well done with clues but not as elaborate as some others I've been in.
The art heist is the hardest. Some people get upset when they don't complete it but you must understand it's supposed to be hard and have a lower success rate.
The atmosphere is trendy and modern. It's new and nicely done with clean bathrooms and a cool waiting area. Go with some friends and try it out! Be warned it's addictive though.

Cost ranges from $9 for a day pass to $40 for a month's membership. Discounts are available for military, students, and seniors. We also have a full service salon and two massage therapists on staff. Please call for more information or to book your appointment.
The salon is excellent place to go but make your appointment in advance. The gym is pretty good but equipment doesn't get replaced. Spray paint it to make it look new even though it is wearing out. Tanning bed lights not hot but the stand up is great. Price is reasonable.
