It is just about 1 kilometre from the village to walk up to the Castle. Admission fee was HUF 1,200 per adult and it was worth every forint of it! It was nicely renovated with interesting rooms. The castle was one of the best I have ever visited in Hungary because it could give you the atmosphere of isolation, what it had been many centuries before. Also the surrounding area was breathtaking, you could see meadows, forests and even hear animals roaming.

Old Village of Holloko is a must to see location in Hungary. Parking was easy. You could see several buildings and all of them are very well maintained.

The church that stood in the middle of this most delightfully small yet tranquil village in Hungary. Had a whole day to kill due to the bus timetable from Budapest. lovely place and right there in the center guarding the traditional houses that line up alongside the street. Closed but makes a nice photo stop. Free
