Greyton is a beautiful little town with cape Dutch style type houses on very large plots of land with the most magnificent gardens. Kids and adults play in the streets, donkeys and horses are free to roam around. Time seems to stand still. On the other side of town is the magnificent nature reserve. It has a huge array of flora. There are many walks, ranging from flat and easy to long and uphill!! If you want a time out in nature then head here

We did most of the trails and enjoyed them all. Some were more challenging than the others but all were in good shape

This was the first market since a hard lockdown in the town. Some regular vendors were not there. We could still enjoy samples of the homegrown and home made foods and items. This market is a must visit if you In Greyton

Overlooking the spectacular Riviersonderend mountain range, just eight km from Greyton, Swallow Hill offers a unique wine tasting experience. On the stoep or in the courtyard you will taste Tempranillo and Viognier based wines from vines grown in their single vineyard. A platter of tapas is served to compliment the wines. At Swallow Hill the wines follow the vines.
