The Alaska Highway between Anchorage and Fairbanks, AK is a beautiful drive and an excellent road. I was there just after a snow storm the day before and the snow capped mountains were simply awesome scenery. Although part of the drive was a bit treacherous with the snow and ice, it was well worth the experience. I am sure the drive is very nice in summer, the snow scenery made it so much nicer. Not many people on the road in the off season, but I highly recommend it, depending on the weather.
