Our almost 3 year old has been here twice and she loves how close she can get to all the animals. Feeding and petting animals is a big hit and even the bears and large cats are close enough to get a great feel for their size and power.

This is a very lovingly displayed collection curated by volunteers who have a real passion for "All Things Oz". Lots of collectibles, starting with the original hard-cover books, items from L. Frank Baum's life, and artifacts from various productions. Very enthusiastic guides will happily (and I mean, VERY happily... Oz is in their blood!) show you around, share anecdotes, and answer any questions you might have. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area, plenty of on-street parking, easy to find.
(P.S. I'm checking "gratuity suggested" below because they suggest a donation... but it's a donation to the museum, not an actual "tip" to a specific person.)

The location of this winery is beautiful. The landscape is lush, green and very inviting. You can see the rows and rows of the vines. Outside sitting is a must just to take in the beautiful view. Very quiet and relaxing inside and outside. The inside is absolutely stunning. The bar is one of a kind and so unusual. Everything is new and fresh looking. Staff is friendly and informative. Wine is displayed and there is plenty of it. Pizza is probably the best around. Service is great, fast and plentiful. Stopped for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and not at all crowded. A must visit and it is off the beaten path. They probably need a little more advertising but all the locals know where to find it.

The fact that the proprietor introduces each film to the assembled audience says a lot about the personal touch not found anywhere else. In addition, his discriminating taste in booking movies can be trusted--the films are unfailingly high quality and thought-provoking. This 99-year-old venue isn't luxurious, but it's comfortable enough--and a bargain for such a quality experience.

Experience "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" like never before, at Yellow Brick Road Casino! Over 430 slot machines, 500-seat Bingo Hall, Keno Lounge, General Store and Oz-themed bars & restaurants. • Slot Parlor, Bingo Hall and Keno • Two Signature Restaurants • Country-Western Bar & Lounge
Very clean, lots of machines, and smoke-free. An offshoot of Turning Stone, the casino has several positives you don't often find at larger places - a very comfortable lounge if you just want to relax or wait for someone else gambling, a free soda machine and coffee bar. Nice. All the staff were very pleasant.

Chittenango Landing is a great place to take your children to see New York State History live. Special weekends have blacksmith, boat makers, craftsmen and historians tell stories of the Erie Canal. Elementary and middle school children can go on class visits and participate in activities at the museum. You can coordinate your visits, go to Chittenango in the morning and the Rome, NY Erie Canal Village and take a ride on a barge. Even as an adult, it's a fun day to review local history.

Although there are subtle touches of The Wizard of Oz throughout the birthplace of its author L. Frank Baum, it is the Land of Oz and Ends store on Route 5 as you enter of Village of Chittenango from the north that caps the visitor's experience. Our six-year-old grandson rated our stop at this store as "the best" moment of a magic-filled weekend. His mom bought him a tiny Tin Man, part of a wealth of memorabilia the owners bought from a collector the year they got started. We bought him the paperback version of the famous book with the original title The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and the original illustrations. On a snowy November day, the store bustled with visitors. The owners had a lovely way about them, almost as if they had been part the original motion picture. Their clear delight in what they were doing left us all with a smile on our faces.
