We are Orange County NY’s Premier Aerial Studio, aspiring to provide our students with the cleanest and safest environment. We regularly wash our silks; all mats are wiped down after each use; we re-tape our Lyras; have a crash mat and provide mats for each student. At Flexibility in Flight, LLC (FIF), we have a heavy circus influence in our aerial style, but still do focus on our yoga practice.

Glenmere Mansion is located in the lush countryside of upstate New York and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to spend a couple of days there and experience the Lower Hudson Valley. The Mansion which dates back to the early 1900's stands majestically in beautiful green park lands and has breathtaking views over a private lake. The interior includes a marble staircase, paneled library and exquisitely furnished bedrooms. The house which still to this day offers Great Gatsby themed soirees was once the haunt of New York socialites who used it as a weekend retreat. Now it is an 18 room Relais & Chateaux hotel, which includes personal touches like a handwritten welcome note to make guests feel very much at home. Outside, in the formal gardens, there is nice pathways throughout the estate and for my visit it made for beautiful early morning walks as part of my morning routine. The spa, located to the back of the building is elegantly furnished and the relaxation room is laid out like a french salon with plenty of lounging chairs and soft cushions. White orchids and picture books complete the relaxed setting and the overwhelming feeling is one of relaxation and comfort. My therapist Tina was excellent. I had opted for a classic massage to ease out my jetlagged shoulders, improve circulation and also really to 'test out the spa'.In my opinion, the sign of a good spa is competency in massages and on this occasion I was not disappointed. We started face up instead of face down and that was a first, I thought about this and couldn't decide what was my preference. Eventually though I came to the conclusion that face up first actually has its benefits, as it gets all the legs and arms out of the way, allowing for a long dreamy massage to the back at the end.Mid treatment, my phone started to beep. I had tucked it into the pocket of my fluffy robe and forgot to switch is off. It interrupted the treatment like an undesirable SOS and I so regretted not turning it off. I apologized to Tina who didn't miss a beat and gave a barely audible murmur, clearly keen not to get distracted by anything. Eventually my heated treatment table got the better of me and I started to drift off. Tina used a massage cream (not an oil) and also used warm towels on my feet and face. She worked on my crunched shoulders and did a light scalp massage. By the end of the treatment I was feeling more whole and certainly a lot more chilled out. My treatment room had bathing facilities and an ensuite and it almost seemed a shame to be leaving it.Afterwards I was treated to a hot cup of Vanilla and Mandarin infused organic tea and the good vibes continued as I lounged rejuvenated in the relaxation room with pretty views out over a courtyard with fountain.

The Heritage Trail is 10 miles long, but we only walked for five. It's flat, paved and ten feet wide, so there's plenty of room for walkers, runners, and cyclists. We started at the trail head in Goshen, and the part that we walked on was mostly shady. When we finished our walk, we stopped by the Trailside Treats Creamery for some ice cream.
