Stunning array of Christmas sweets, chocolates, cards & gifts. This shop is full of beautiful things & has a brilliant selection of Jellycat soft toys - so many to choose from ! Also great for vegetarians like myself as sweets are clearly labelled so it's easy to pick gelatine free options.

Bure Valley Railway

The Bure Valley Railway is a narrow gauge steam railway operating between the market town of Aylsham and Wroxham, Capital of the Norfolk Broads a distance of nine miles. All coaches are fully enclosed with upholstered seats, heating is provided in the winter months. Combined tickets are available offering a return trip on the railway and a 1 1/2 hour cruise on the Norfolk Broads. An 80 seat cafe is available at Aylsham offering freshly cooked hot food as well as light snacks and drinks. Specially designed coaches are provided to allow wheelchair users and able bodied passengers to travel together. Both Aylsham and Wroxham stations have step free access. Ample free parking for cars and coaches is available at both stations. Children under 5 travel free. In 2020 trains are operating from 15th to 23rd February, March weekends and daily 28 March - 1st November and also at the following three weekends in November. Santa trains operate from the first weekend in December until Christmas Eve.

Redwings Aylsham

Situated in idyllic Norfolk countryside, Redwings Aylsham is home to over 50 rescued residents including real-life Black Beauty Maya, donkey duo Wiggins and Wacko, and Redwings’ notorious herd of Shetlands, "The Gangsters". The centre is also hosts a jam-packed schedule of activities during school holidays and a great place for school and group visits. There's also nature walks to enjoy, followed by hot drinks and tasty snacks from the Nosebag Café. There is also a playground, picnic area and an on-site gift shop offering a range of souvenirs, all proceeds from which support the hundreds of horses in our care. While visiting Redwings Aylsham, you might like to support the work of the charity by adopting one of its friendly residents, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year's adoptions costs just £15! Redwings Aylsham is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10am to 4pm. Entry is FREE and dogs on leads are welcome too!

6yr old son & I had a nice couple of hours : snack in the cafe, browsed the gift shop, looked at the educational info, played in the play area, & of course saw the lovely horses & ponies along the circular walk.

Aylsham Heritage Centre

A small heritage Centre dedicated to the history of this fascinating Market Town. The themed exhibitions change regularly, and there is always access to the town photographic archive of over 3000 photographs. Entry is free although donations are welcome. Well behaved dogs are also welcome. Opening Hours - Monday 10.30am -1 pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10.30 - 3.30.
