Visited in half term with my nephew's, they enjoyed the hands on experience and professor Nitrates show, to be honest I think I enjoyed it even more., the on-site cafe was outstanding, we all had a nice meal, it was good to get decent food without getting ripped off like some theme parks.. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the day.fully recommended ???? ????

Lots of good routes around here - easy & short enough for young children with lots of rest spots. We did much of the Artroute 1 which passes many sculptures in the reserve that kids can climb on. In July we saw lots of dragonflies, butterflies, bees & birds. Including a very grumpy hissy swan! We just cycled away quickly :)

Lee Valley Park Farms in Waltham Abbey, Essex are just the best kind of fun when it comes to a great value family day out. There are cuddly sheep, giant rabbits, rare breed pigs, long-necked llamas and a loveable meerkat family to meet. You can hit the heights on the giant bouncy pillow, scale the Spider Tower or whizz down the slopes on our fantastic toboggan run. The lttle ones love riding on the combine harvester in Piglet's Paradise. Then take a short trip on a tractor trailer to our working dairy farm, where you'll meet the cows and learn all about life on a real farm.
Such a lovely farm, lots to entertain young kids, staff friendly, cafe provides yummy food and very reasonably priced, definitely recommend. I have a 3 and 5 year old and been going for the last four years. Always improving the place and put on great events. Had a party there too and that was brilliant!

Following a long drive to a London hospital, and kennels closed for lockdown, we needed to find somewhere on the way back to the M25 to "let loose the dogs of war". We found Gunpowder Park on Google. What a fabulous place! The dogs absolutely loved it too. Coming from the south coast we are spoilt with beauty and slightly snooty that places won't match up to our home county but we were pleasantly surprised! The day we went, there was a definite chill in the wind so a hot cuppa at AbFab Café was most welcome not to mention a "doggie cookie" each for the boys which made their walk special too.
