A must-see while here! Bright vibrant colors! I still can't believe it was free! The monarch butterflies were going crazy, preparing for their big migration. Excellent photo op right along the lake shore!

This art museum is housed in a Victorian mansion and has a wide range of displays throughout the gallery spaces as well as in the rooms of the mansion itself. There are numerous rooms which showcase life in Victorian times as well as a beautiful library and other exhibits. This (free!) museum is worth your trip any time of year, but is at it's most beautiful during "Christmas in the Mansion" throughout the month of December.

We strive to connect visitors' curiosity to the wonders of farming. Guests enjoy interactive exhibits on Wisconsin agriculture, a farm tour, and birthing barn, where they might see the miracle of a calf birth! Our onsite Wisconsin Cafe brings the farm-to-table quality to a delicious reality--but check to make sure it's open before planning a meal, as COVID threw a temporary road block on our foodservice. Our gift shop features Wisconsin products like cheese, sausage, honey, cranberries, syrup--as well as beer and wine.
Selling the cows on our farm in 2000 and then cash cropping our land, My wife and I visited the discovery center in July. Having experience in the business, it was fun to see the history, the neighbors who have contributed to the creation of the center as well as taking a trip to a modern farm to learn how things are advancing in farming. Something for everyone of all ages.
