Harrison Lake & Hot Springs

This is a great spot for a city break! Bring the family, friends, partner, and you'll find something to do! The Lake has a shallow lagoon area for the kids to play. Harrison Watersports has a waterpark, bbq boat rentals, bumper boats, etc. Killers Cove Boat Rentals has kayaks, pedal boats, boats, etc. for rent. You can spend hours here on a sunny day. Bring a mat, sunscreen, hat, etc. There is very little shade. Parking is $9 for a maximum of 3 hours. Signs are posted for social distancing and beach rules (no tents, specific bbq guidelines). Lots of options for food and drink nearby with, restaurants, cafes, 1 supermarket, and liquor store a few blocks away. Public bathrooms, outdoor gym, public pool (currently close due to Covid19) is in the middle. The west side has the lagoon, rentals and waterpark The east side has the playground, volleyball nets, BBQ and picnic tables etc. There is a nice walkway along the lakefront. There are several hotels on the lakefront. We could see kite surfers, seadoos, paddle boards, etc., so lots of water sport options here.

Shoreline Tours

The beautiful waters of Harrison Lake cut a gentle crescent through British Columbia's Coast Mountains, collecting glacial runoff waters into a basin that's as scenic as it is frigid. Once spring arrives the shallow waters of Harrison Hot Springs warm and the snow peaked mountain offer a stunning juxtaposition. That's where Shoreline Tours comes in. The hosts will welcome you aboard the Laroan, the 62-foot Transport-Canada-certified boat. Outfitted with sightseeing decks, a BBQ grill, and a full kitchen/dining area, and washroom facilities, the boat acts as a home away from home during tours of the lake, as well as the Harrison River and Port Douglas. If you would prefer a private event including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, or any other specials events, see our Private Charters.

Hicks Lake

This a great place to spend a day with children. I have taken my grandchildren several times and it's always a good day. Pack a picnic This park has the feeling of being in a wilderness setting removed from any frills enabling one to reconnect with nature. There is a very pleasant walking trail around the lake which takes about an hour and a half. Long enough for the kids to get some exercise but short enough that they enjoy the walk. Afterwards you can spend a few hours at the beach area where there are picnic tables and the kids can get their fill of fun in the water. On the way back you may want to stop at the Greenpoint picnic area on Harrison Lake. It's a beautiful spot but the water is cold. Then it's on to the town of Harrison Hot Springs where you find a variety of places to eat something before heading home.

Great for family picnics. Beach area and boat launch. Soak up the sun and scenery. We were there earlier in the day so it hadn't gotten super busy yet. Day area with picnic benches, washrooms, and grassy field.
