Trolltunga – Norway's Most Spectacular Rock Formation Trolltunga is one of the most scenic and spectacular cliffs in Norway, hovering 700 metres above Ringedalsvatnet lake. Situated at the western edge of the Hardangervidda plateau, near the town of Odda, Trolltunga was carved by the icecap that once covered most of Scandinavia. The hike through high-mountain terrain up to Trolltunga (1180 m) is long and demanding, but you are rewarded with magnificent views. From the main trailhead at P2 in Skjeggedal, the round-trip hike is 28 km with an ascent of almost 800 metres. The estimated hiking time is 8–12 hours. There is an additional trailhead at P3 Magelitopp. The round-trip hike from P3 Magelitopp is 20 km with an ascent of about 320 metres. The estimated hiking time is 7–10 hours. Hikers need to be properly equipped and in good shape. All the info you need about hiking to Trolltunga: https://trolltunga.com/.
We took the Shuttle bus from the parking to the starting point of the actual walk. Unless you are very fit and will enjoy 9 additional KM steep up hill walk, i will strongly recommend this Shuttle bus, since the walk from the starting point and return is 20 KM. When we arrived at Trolltunga we had a great time enjoying this unique view. Absolutely worth the efforts and a great memory. Remember to take additional clothes and sufficient food and drinks.

One of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever done (and I live in Switzerland where we have so many stunning hikes). This hike doesn’t take long, less than 3 hours if you’re in good shape, and the variety of terrain you see - mountains, glacier, forest, streams, waterfalls - is spectacular. The trail is rocky and steep in parts, requiring use of ropes and ladders to scramble up some of the slopes. You also have to cross a few muddy, wet areas, so be sure to wear good hiking shoes. There's parking available in Buer for a fee, as well as a campsite. Enjoy!

2 kms from Norheimsund direction Bergen, just by route 7. One of the best known and photographed waterfalls of the country, where you can walk under and behind the waterfall. Stone monument astrophysicist Svein Rosseland. Represented Norway on Expo 2000.
On our way to Hardangerfjord, we paid a visit to Steinsdalsfossen and it was a great decision. View of the valley in front of the waterfall from the top is amazing, got a good view of the waterfall from behind, very many beautiful views all around the place.

It's either you stop right at the top, with a bird's eye view of the waterfall, Geo coordinates as : 60.425468, 7.246463 OR like us, we choose a short hike ( 1.3km x2 ) to the base of the waterfall. You can park at 60.425203, 7.231709. Both sides of the road are widen to allow cars to park to hike to Vøringsfossen. The initial 200m is path road, after which , there are many boulders and bid rocks to overcome. But not a problem at all as just do it at your own pace and enjoy the hike. It's beautiful with a lovely weather to top it all. You can do it in 2 hours. We took about 3 hours as we had our picnic and rest at the waterfall too!

FONNA Glacier Ski Resort is known for being the leading summer ski resort in Europe. Located on the Folgefonna Glacier, you will get a spectacular scenery from the top ski lift station. Overlooking the Hardanger Fjord, the glacier and even the North Sea on sunny days, it's a view not to forget. The summer ski resort offers alpine ski slopes for every level, the world's #4 freestyle park, cross-country skiing, equipment rental and a cafe.
Visited by car. You will have to pay 100nok for entering te road (automatic toll booth w card option). The road is a great adventure with unbelievable views on the glacier and the fjord. The nature is also very special, the autumn colors made it even more special I think. We arrived late so the ski track was closed. I checked the snow but the quality seemed low (8 celsius) but this was just the lowest point. A rattrack was in charge. Compared to Austrian ski resorts, this is a very small one with low service level. I will go again, not for skiing but hiking.
