Really pretty. Surprisingly there are quite a few little hidden trails in the garden to make it a magical place for a toddler too. Truly a beautiful place to visit... and lots of room for a picnic lunch, or grab an icecream from.the little kiosk.

The Blue Lake in Mount Gambier is a beautiful scenic venue for casually strolling around and if inclined you can do a Park Run at 8 am on a Saturday morning taking in the majestic old volcano holding the towns water supply. Fantastic colour at the right time of the year . Also enjoy the coffee and cakes at the cafe after a tour of the water pumping station. Excellent.

Never seen the Valley Lake before, as the Blue Lake is the biggest attraction. Big hard to find, but travel via caravan park road. Seen jet ski and ski boat on lake. Great wildlife park right next door seeing Kangaroos and Wallabies.

Not a hard climb as there are concrete steps and plenty of places to stop. It’s about 130m from the car park. The walk around the volcano rim is spectacular with amazing views. It’s a bit dangerous in parts with loose gravel and the path is sometimes close to the cliff edge.

The iconic tower stands at the summit of Mount Gambier. A short but steep walk rewards visitors with 360 degree views stretching nearly 100kms. Open whenever the flag is flying.
Such a great view of Mount Gambier from the tower. No access into the tower itself but walking around its base you get great views. The climb / walk up is very steep and should only be attempted if of reasonable fitness. Ample parking at the base of the climb for cars and small rv’s.

The defunct Mount Gambier Rail Lands have been converted into a walking and cycling path that is suitable for people of all ages to use. The paths are wide and flat - a perfect place to take the kids for a bike ride. The central section of the Rail Lands has a lovely playground and "wetlands" area for the kids to play along with a BBQ area. It a nice safe area centrally located! Love it!

In the heart of the city near the library a stunning rose garden at the entrance. A cave garden with balcony's overlooking from the sides. At night coloured lights project across the cave. (But unfortjnately the additional sound and light show was not running due to vandalism whilst we visited) Visited sever times, its free Its beautiful
