The house museum of José Saramago, Nobel Prize for Literature in 1998 is a real immersion in the universe of the Portuguese writer. The guided tour includes first the house and the garden, then the private library and its various work spaces.
A fabulous intimate tour of Jose Saramago’s home in Lanzarote. Alba our guide was informative and only too pleased to answer questions in Spanish, English and French. Walking through his home and library, seeing where he worked, rested and entertained was privilege. I loved his library built to house all and his wife’s books. Allow and hour and a half and make sure you are there for opening at 10.

Betty Boops is a modern fun Karaoke Bar situated in the heart of Puerto Del Carmen where locals and tourists unite to have a fun filled time Karaoke 7 Nights A Week Drag Show And Cabaret Every Thursday And Saturday
Lovely bar, Teresa and Carolyn make you very welcome, the afternoon we popped in there was a charity day going on, to help a local food bank, different acts sang and played during the day, it was a great atmosphere! The bar is well stocked and very reasonable prices, there are also Karaoke nights and a drag act, well worth a visit!

Discovered this bar last year & came back to this area of Lanzarote again this year purely to see them! What a band!! They know how to give people a good time that's for sure. The musicianship and singing from Conor, Albert & Pedro is nothing short of excellent!! We were lucky enough to catch Colm Farrell one of the nights we were there too, brilliant ???? The place is absolutely bouncing with people having a great time and the band manage to keep it fresh every night. Their smiles are infectious ???? Sadly the corona virus put paid to us going for a third visit there but we will return to Lanzarote in the near future as these guys are pure joy!! ❤️????

Chillout cocktail bar and shishas
We came here every night of the week whilst staying in Lanzarote. It's very relaxing and beats the hustle and bustle of downtown Ruta 66 + all the other bars in that area. There is a large selection of Shisha and the cocktails were fantastic; they are certainly not liberal with their alcohol! Mirela was particularity friendly and very helpful serving us, as well as the owner who was also friendly. We will definitely go back and recommend other travellers to check it out. Roberto
