In November 2006, the French Lick Resort Casino, the state's tenth casino in the modern legalized era, opened, drawing national attention to the small town. However, it is best known as the hometown of basketball player Larry Bird.

This little museum was well worth the small price. It was a great way to get an overview of the area and has a wide array of information from the early beginnings, including the hotels, springs, Larry Bird and the circus.

Great little store. Nice handmade jewelry, tshirts & sweatshirts, novelties and best of all the wood carvings. Small one to literally "Big Foot" size. The employees were very sweet. If you get a chance to visit the ice cream shop attached....it is yummy!

Have visited this casino multiple times, and always come away enjoying the wide variety of table games and diversity of poker machines. Excellent bar! This casino is quite frugal with comps, which is understandable. I will come back again as I tend to feel I have an opportunity to win much of the time! Staff is friendly and always excellent!

Wow- what a Class-Act spa!! I went down to the resort, by myself this time, just to get away a do a complete reset. I stayed in a nice room at the hotel, gambled of course, treated myself to a fine dining experience at the 1875 Steakhouse and made sure to book a massage for the morning of my departure. With COVID, the spa remains limited in accessibility but that made me feel safe. I was greeted as if I was the Queen of England, even with my hair in a crazy ponytail, by both the front desk spa lady AND my actual massage therapist. I was escorted through the facility rather quickly, an area you would normal change in and relax at while you wait for your service, and went straight back to my treatment room that was set up and completely ready for me. I changed out of my clothes right there in my massage room and kept all of my belongings with me the entire time- something that is normally done in an area down the hall where your items are left in a locker. Honestly, this streamlined process worked out perfectly because I wasnt looking to relax there all day. My therapist gave me an option of choosing my essential oil scent for the massage, as I had chosen the Ennsential Oil Massage from the 2 massage options I was given(Swedeish Massage was the other choice). The massage therapist did a great job- asked about any injuries or areas to avoid, asked about adjusting massage pressure after beginning the massage, And followed my qeues related to whether I want conversation or silence during my treatment. When I left, my aching body felt fully restored! On my way out, the front desk clerk invited me to shop in their retail area, which was a sea of beautiful high quality and unique merchandise, filled with sale and clearance choices as well! I'm so glad I made sure to take advantage of this Spa Service and take a minute to focus on just me! Super sanitized and very focused on PPE and guest safety! This is a perfect trip for a cabin fever fix. We stayed at the resort and would highly recommend that. Came with water passes, and allowed early access and late hours for hotel guests only. The staff at the hotel and water park were great. Very clean establishment and would definitely go on a Thursday/Friday if you can to avoid a larger crowd which was ideal for our two year old. Can’t wait to go back :)
