Great tour on Oct 4, 2018 with City Unscripted guide - Beatrice! At my request, we spent much of our time in the Navigli neighborhood at dusk enjoying aperitivo and dinner. Beatrice knew all the charming places along the canal and also offered recommendations for the rest of my trip in Cinque Terre and Amalfi Coast. With friendly, personable Beatrice I felt I was experiencing Milan as a local. Thank you!
A private wine day tour, in which you will only have to focus on one mission: discover which your favourite wine is! An english speaking driver will pick you up at your hotel at 9 am and will bring you towards the Pavia area, famous for Pinot Noir wines, but also Barbera and Bonarda. You will start the tour by visiting one of the most ancient wineries of the Pavia area, dating back to the 12th century. After the wine tasting you'll visit another small family business company that will let you taste 4 differente wines. Before 1 pm the driver will bring you in Pavia and you will have suggestions for the best restaurants according to your needs and desire. At 3.30 pm you'll be brought back to Milan and visit the very last winery of the day. A brand new project arrived in Milan and it's called Cantina Urbana, the first italian Urban Winery. Well, you couldn't miss it! Have the last tour and the last 3 tastings!
Inclusions: Private transportation, 3 wineries tour and 3 different wine tastings of 8 wines
Exclusions: We will suggest you the best places to have lunch on own
This tour far exceeded our expectations! At first we were a little surprised to be told we were going to a saffron farm, as that hadn't been mentioned previously. It actually turned out to be a fascinating experience. We got to try the local saffron, including saffron infused beer, honey along with some of the local cheese and meats. We then went to castello tricerchi for a tour of a vineyard, cellars and the castle itself. The place was stunningly beautiful, and we got to have a wine tasting in the castle itself. After that we went to Martoccia which was another beautiful vineyard just outside montalcino. The cellar tour was fascinating, and it was followed by a 4 course lunch with wine tasting. The food was spectacular, and the wine was incredible. We were lucky enough to be able to try the new 2015 brunello which hadn't even been labelled yet. Our tour guide Nadia was extremely knowledgable and very relaxed. The tour actually finished 2 hours late, but she didn't seem to mind. She even let us store our wine in her office so we could go and explore Montalcino in the evening. Fantastic tour. Would thoroughly recommend
We love Milan and during your stay for a few days we suggest you to experience this incredible self drive tour with a combo of 3 very interesting wineries that will allow you to discover the secrets of the local wine production. This is not a GUIDED TOUR. Your first stop will be a family business company that is 1 hour from Milan, so our suggestion is to leave the city around 9/9.15 am. You'll meet the wine hospitality manager of the family that will bring you through a very interesting vineyard tour and explanation of the history of the company, before proceeding with the first wine tasting of the day! After the tour you go towards Pavia, where you meet another small producer. A completely different atmosphere, more informal and familiar and still with a very interesting history to share and great products to taste. Then you have some free time on your own in Pavia. On your way back to Milan your final stop will be at the Cantina Urbana of Milan, a brand new project of urban winery!
Inclusions: 3 wineries visited and 3 different wine tasting experiences

Led by an art historian, this walking tour takes you to marvel at paintings, sculptures, and architecture of the Baroque era. Seventeenth century Rome embodied extravagance and theatricality with the Baroque period, going beyond an artistic movement and reaching the richest expression of art that have fully transformed the Eternal City. Pushing the doors inside several hidden churches that most tourists will never see, you’ll encounter some of the finest masterpieces of Caravaggio, Bernini, and Borromini in their original context, diving into a deeper understanding of each historical beauty.

Absolutely enjoyable day with Sylvia, we wish it could have gone longer! Sylvia shared a lot of knowledge and even provided a list of insider tips things to do which we ended up doing many on our own time so a big thanks! We had booked this tour inadvertently on a holiday but despite some things being closed Sylvia improvised and brought us to many great places topped off with an incredible lunch at a very local authentic restaurant. We highly recommend this tour with Sylvia!

Being our first flight, we were slightly concerned on what to expect. Could not have been more lucky to have Ricardo, his wife and crew to ensure that we have an unforgettable experience. The afternoon was beautiful and after some test balloons being sent up to see the strength of the wind current - it was decided that it would be safe and that the flight would take place. It was an peaceful experience - rising and having a 360 degree view of the countryside, small towns and farms and floating above the rice fields outside Milan. The direction is determined by the current of the wind and it is always unknown where the final landing place will be. I did not want to stop. The flight lasted a little over an hour. This is an experience that everybody should do and I highly recommend Mongolfiere. Lots of effort went in making sure that the landing was at the right stop and as smooth as possibly. We landed in a field that had been harvested. It was great seeing the farms with cows, horses, pigs and dogs. The flame mechanism can be load, but extra car is given when livestock is present and a quieter option is used. The cold cuts, cheese and white wine at the end after landing and watching the sunset adds the icing on the cake, closing a beautiful afternoon and experience.
