On this exclusive king crab fishing excursion in Kirkenes, we will take you out on the fjord to find the great beast and you will see how we catch, prepare and cook it. Depending on the season, we'll drive either by snowmobile and sled out on the fjord ice or by RIB boat on the Varangerfjord where you can help pull up the crab pods. The journey will culminate in a warm farmhouse restaurant by the fjord where we'll serve the crab the northern Norwegian way – fresh, steamed and irresistible! All our tours include warm outfits, mittens, balaklava and shoes.

In addtion to dog sledding we do bird watching tours, ice fishing, and can offer snowmobile tours with our partner. We go by bus from Kirkenes to Svanvik that is situated at the beautiful Pasvik valley approximately 40 kilometres from the town. At Svanvik we will get a guided tour in the National Centre before watching a short film about the nature of this area. We do a security check and put on life vests before boarding the riverboat. One of the places we will explore is a narrow part of the river on the Russian side. We will experience contrasts between Russia and Norway - the Russian city Nikel on the one side and the Norwegian settling on the other side of the border. Further up the river we will visit the husky farm BIRK in Melkefoss, where we will be served lunch made of the local ingredients and visit the huskys before heading back to Svanvik. During the tour our guide will tell you about the unique history of this area. Min 6 persons.
