What a stunning place to visit! Kids loves climbing up the old tree roots. Dogs running freely. Fishing lakes. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Ducks galore. There are nice places to eat picnics dotted around. Nice sized car park which is reached by a long winding road. Very scenic, pretty and peaceful. Will return. Enjoy!

Great day today! First trip with Wayne in the Ariel Atom and he was great. Cars were all great. Well organised and would do it again.

I have one negative- parking but apart from that, absolutely amazing. The pools were big- a bit cold- but still good. Slides were great fun for kids. There are restaurants and shops for food and swimwear. A bit expensive but not bad. I do however think you should not have to pay if you are not using the pool or facilities. Kids area was perfect for the little ones. Staff were friendly and helpful. Ticket area at entrance could be a tiny bit quicker but overall had an amazing experience.

Walton Firs Activity Centre is a residential outdoor activities centre in Surrey. We deliver outdoor education programmes for children and young people aged between 5 and 18, in partnership with uniformed and informal youth service, education, early years, and children’s social care providers from across Surrey, London, and the home counties. In 2020, the activity centre was awarded The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, in recognition of our long-standing support for young volunteers. We offer a wide range of outdoor activities from our 35-acre site, including high ropes, caving, climbing, rifle shooting, adventure courses, and bushcraft. Our staff are skilled to design and deliver bespoke outdoor education programmes, to engage all young person in positive activities in the natural environment, irrespective of their prior experience, skills, or confidence. We can accommodate up to 1,500 young people on site, using our accommodation buildings, pod villages, and managed campsites.
Like many Year 6 pupils, my daughter and her friends missed out on their eagerly anticipated residential trip last year when we went into lockdown, so in an effort to make up for some of their disappointment, I arranged an adventure day for the class when Walton Firs reopened over the summer. Due to ongoing restrictions, the girls were divided into four groups, two arriving in the morning to take part in various activities (including the gladiator climb, high ropes, leap of faith, bouldering & orienteering) and two in the afternoon, meeting in the middle for a (socially distanced) picnic lunch and a parents vs girls rounders match (another final year tradition they would otherwise have been cheated of). Package prices were incredibly reasonable and staff were friendly and accommodating, while being mindful of observing proper precautions, going out of their way to make sure the girls had a fun and memorable day. This was my second visit to the centre, an unexpected wilderness retreat which may be a little rough around the edges but where kids can get stuck into a range of awesome outdoor pursuits, challenging themselves to reach the heights of climbing walls or rope courses, or to make the terrifying ‘flying squirrel’-style leap of faith, which, once conquered, they’ll beg to do over and over again. Without exception, the girls went away with wide grins on their faces, Adrenalin pumping, confidence buoyed and parents all pleasantly surprised by a fabulous facility they never knew existed.
