Welcome to “The Greatest Snow on Earth” – Utah’s paradise for all outdoor enthusiasts! As host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, Park City knows how to entertain winter fun seekers. Snowboarders and skiers head for miles of spectacular slopes with deep fluffy powder and breathtaking mountain views. The Olympic Park provides family-friendly ski programs, rides and shows. Alta, Sundance, Snowbird and Brighton are other popular destinations for cross country and Alpine skiers. Those alluring snowy slopes turn to rolling wildflower fields in the summer. Golfing, fishing, horseback riding and water sports replace chilly outdoor sports adventures. Corral the family, pack a picnic and catch one of the ski lifts for an afternoon of hiking or mountain biking along scenic trails. Head to Salt Lake City, where Temple Square hosts millions of visitors a year. Bryce Canyon and Arches National Park are famous for surreal landscapes from horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters to unusual rock formations and hundreds of natural sandstone arches. Closer to home, wander along the quaint main streets of mountain villages to browse, shop and enjoy lunch at an outdoor café. At the end of the day, head home for an outdoor barbecue and an evening of games. Home rentals blend privacy, space and comfort with the cost-saving advantage of eating some meals at home.

Old cattle trail which is accessible by 4WD vehicles.
This was an amazing ride, ending at the park boundary for Capital Reef, with the Waterpocket Fold viewed off in the distance. Go slow, then go slow again on the return, because it looks so different seeing it in reverse. So much to see, massive red rock walls, slot canyons, cottonwood groves, wildlife, echo chambers, meadows. This was a late afternoon ride for us, departing from Canyons of Escalante RV Park. At the tiny town of Boulder, look for the tiny sign indicating the start of the Burr Trail Road.

AreaBFE is a 320 acre recreational park for many different outdoor activities. (Camping, motorized recreation, hiking, biking, and/or just hanging out.) The park had been a dream of ours and in April 2004 that dream became reality for a group of guys who had a vision; "Create a place where people could go without the threat of being kicked-off of a fun little playground and insure that people will always have a place to recreate!" Since then, we've been working to make trails, camping areas and many other fun destination points on the property. This project has reassured our faith in the OHV community and the values these people hold close to their hearts. We invite you to come and enjoy this place with an open mind to adventure and great times. AreaBFE is open and free to the public 365 days/year. We accept donations to assist with the overall upkeep. There's a donation statue near the entry for those who wish to help support our endeavor. We also host corporate events, club gatherings, competitions, music festivals and weddings to raise money for AreaBFE.

Scenic canyon in Capitol Reef National Park.
Pucker Pass is a fun section of the Long Canyon Road near Canyonlands National Park stretching down to the Colorado River. We took our lifted Mustang with it's fenders and bumpers cut using truck tires. The road has amazing views and is very rocky. A fairly high shelf has to be crossed either by stacking rocks if you have shorter clearance like us or bouncing over it with a bigger short wheel based 4x4 if you have a taller 4x4 you might not make it beneath the large fallen boulder. The views along the entire road are amazing. Much of the road is either on shelf rock or dodging larger rocks in the road. It is a really fun road. My Jeep Wrangler would have loved going up it or down it but we had our Mustang so our only choice was descending from the top as there is no way we would have made it up the inevitable rock shelf near the fallen boulder. Amazing, challenging, and fun! You need a sense of adventure to appreciate this road. It is fun watching other navigate through the tunnel created by the fallen boulder and over the rock shelf.

This road let’s you drive on the road less traveled. When I was on the paved road I saw hundreds of cars. On this road I saw maybe 10. That being said, I would not recommend taking your sedan on this road. Washboard gravel makes up half the length of this road. It’s do-able just slow.
