Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Milwaukee is perhaps best known for its famous breweries and the Major League Brewers, but there's more to the city than beer and baseball. Milwaukee is rich in historical and cultural attractions, making it the perfect place for a weekend of exploring. Check out the newly expanded Milwaukee Art Museum or the Mitchell Park Horticultural Society, which hosts an annual show of the same flora and fauna seen in Georgia O'Keefe's paintings. Those interested in the city's history can visit the grand Pabst Mansion, former home of one of the city's famous beer barons, or the Milwaukee Public Museum, to see what life was like in Old Milwaukee. If the kids are along, don't miss the Milwaukee County Zoo or the Betty Brinn Children's Museum. Of course a trip to the "Genuine American City" would not be complete without a tour of the Miller Brewing Company and a Brewers game at Miller Park.

Wine is what we’re all about and our selection focuses on boutique, small-production wines that you can enjoy in three different pour sizes to sample and sip from our 16 unique wine taps, bottle list or house pours. Cocktails and a carefully selected bottle beer list appeal to true enthusiasts. Our menu is casual yet inventive, including gourmet dishes, bar fare, small plates and desserts — all available for late-night dining. Welcome to Walker’s Point, Milwaukee’s warehouse district and newfound foodie neighborhood. In August 2013, a turn-of-the-century building on South 2nd Street, originally the Schupert-Zoeller Printing Company, became Black Sheep. We kept the exposed brick walls, the original wood floors and the soaring beadboard ceiling. We added original artwork, a big metal-top bar and eclectic modern interiors. Developed and fully restored by KPH Construction, Black Sheep joins a growing list of places proud of our Milwaukee roots. Join the neighborhood revelry.

We thoroughly enjoyed Lost Valley, and got to taste a wide variety of ciders by ordering two 4-sample flights. The menu gives great descriptions, and the bartenders have a good routine for taking sample orders and delivering them with clear identification. In particular, the cinnamon and coffee-infused coders were outstanding. While the service became a bit slow as the bar filled up, the staff were attentive and did their best to keep up. We'll likely go back.

Last night we celebrated my daughter’s Golden 23rd Birthday with family and friends at Shakers! I’m so very pleased we picked this venue! The owner and chef, Bob Weiss, was unbelievably accommodating! We all enjoyed the signature drink selected specifically for the occasion by Bob. We delighted in the sound of a Flamenco type musical duo (I know they feature a variety of professional music genres) while we ate the most delicious appetizers and Hors de oeuvres. The meatballs, stuffed peppers, a variety of flat breads, and The Shrimp! What the heck, Bob!!!! Soooo good! Everything hot and abundant! Thank you Brianna for keeping our glasses full and making the entire night run so smoothly! You are an amazing server! Thank you Gal behind the scenes that helped prepare our food! You too are amazing! Some of us enjoyed tasty cigars and many went on the Ghost Tour later in the evening! Michelle is a very entertaining and informative tour guide! She’s done her research! And the atmosphere with beautiful garish lighting and antique and extravagant decor was perfect!!! So many photo opps! I’m telling ya, you want to have your next party here! We will be returning in May for the Ladies dinner/wine pairing! Thanks for everything, Bob!
