This is a great place to catch the sunset. Just remember that parking is limited so you may want to get there a bit early. There is a beach bar right there, probably good pizza or burger but we got the fish which was just ok. Still, there is a nice picnic area with grills and tables and the beach is very clean. Love going there for the day or sunset.

What could be better than an off-leash dog park with ocean access for pups to cool off! My family was visiting the area and homesick for our pooch so we headed to the dog park to get our canine hit. Great fun! Be sure to time your visit for low tide. A short walk from the parking lot to the beach.

This beach is gorgeous, Please note that this isnt your typical public beach. It is surrounded by many private beach clubs, which helps to make it very quiet, however hard to access. Once you can get a parking at one of the public parking areas, you will be happy you visited. Be sure to bring your own chairs, and coolers. There are no public places to buy anything. The bathrooms at the public access areas are so clean, and offer showers post beach visit. I loved this so much!!

This historic park in Old Bonita Springs is the site of funky festivals, music concerts, community gatherings - and they sure know how to put on a good show! Dynamite events - loads of fun for the whole family. Free events and free parking.

If you are a pet lover, you MUST visit dog beach at low tide. I work at a dog daycare and see dogs playing all week but this, this was different! Hundreds of dogs running around with the zoomies, chasing ball in the ocean, jumping in and out of boats and kayaks, just living their absolute best life! I met the sweetest dog owners and pups possible! Don’t miss out on seeing this in person!!

Come experience the Wonder! Travel back in time to Old Florida with a visit to this historic cultural icon. Established in 1936, the Everglades Wonder Gardens has an extraordinarily rich history. Your journey begins inside our small natural history museum, which showcases specimens collected by the founders of the gardens, brothers Bill and Lester Piper. Outside, you will discover a three-and-a-half-acre botanical jungle filled with native trees and plants as well as species from around the world. See (and feed!) our beautiful flock of flamingos, and take time to visit with all of the rescued birds and reptiles that have found their forever home with us. Each one has its own unique story. And don't forget to visit our gift shop before you leave--it is chock full of all sorts of unusual and fun items, including edible treats. See you soon!
We visited the Wonder Gardens in May of 2019 and had 2 seniors 3 Adults and 1 toddler in our group. I cannot say enough good things about this place!! It simply is Wonderful. From the staff, and the affordability of admission and food for the animals , to the cleanliness of the grounds and the nice conditions of the animals. We truly had a great time!! Some highlights were feeding the alligators, and flamingos!!! Who knew flamingos were so large!!! Highly recommend especially if you have small children. It’s just the right size And there is plenty of shaded areas. Highly recommend!!!

Limited parking. There are actually three trails here. Two are more primitive though marked with blue or green hiker emblems. Cullum’s trail travels along the Imperial River. Take main trail from parking lot to the tee, then left to a very nice kayak launch area or go right for a longer walk that ends at I-75.
The Flint Pen Strand Trail officially opened November 2018 with the first set of trails: the Billy G. Cobb Memorial Trail (Red Trail), the blue trail (a shortcut on the red trail) and a yellow multi-use trail. The red trail offers a challenging 1.5-mile hike through pine flatwoods, old homesteads and oak hammocks with views of the Kehl Canal. Horseback riding is available with a permit.
