There are beaches for everyone on Paros—families, partiers, watersports enthusiasts, honeymooners. Anyone can find their perfect stretch of golden sand. The same breeze that rustles orange and pomegranate trees will power your kitesurfing or windsurfing session. In the capital city of Parikia, make sure to pay your respects at the Byzantine "church of 100 doors" (Panagia Ekatontapillani) and visit the seaside ruins of a medieval castle built from the marble remains of an ancient temple.

My son, daughter-in-law and I had booked a 14-day private tour of Athens, Crete, Santorini, Milos and Naxos with Private Tours Greece from May 1-14, 2020 and made a 30% down payment by credit card on 02/06/2020. All interactions with Private Tours Greece went smoothly and were professional and friendly. Then, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and my son's illness, on 03/13/2020, well ahead of the deadline for a fully-refundable cancellation, I asked Private Tours Greece to release all reservations it had made on our behalf, but to hold my deposit, in the hope that we might be able to reschedule our trip later in 2020 or in the spring of 2021. Private Tours Greece complied with my request and issued a credit voucher for the down payment I had made. As the pandemic continued to surge and Greece remained closed to visitors from the United States, on 4/17/2021, after essentially extending an interest-free loan to Private Tours Greece for over a year, I requested that my down payment be fully refunded and credited to the same credit card account to which it had been charged. Thereupon, Private Tours Greece staff claimed that the request for refund had been "forwarded" ... as it turned out later, to Alpha Bank. Nothing happened for a week. I then engaged in repeated e-mail exchanges with Private Tours Greece staff, only to be subjected to a stream of equivocations, obfuscations of the facts, and invalid excuses, including a claim that Private Tours Greece was doing me a favor by agreeing to a refund because the Greek government had allegedly given it the option to hold my funds indefinitely. I then contacted the general manager of the company, who sent me what purported to be a Greek language request to Alpha Bank (that I was unable to read) to issue the refund, along with further invalid excuses, never responding to my complaint that Private Tours Greece was in breach of its contractual obligation to issue a full refund of my down payment, not to mention doing the honorable thing, i.e., issue an immediate refund from an account he controlled directly, rather than blaming Alpha Bank for the delay by claiming that it "required" 10-15 "working" days to complete the request. Even that outlandishly ridiculous period has now expired! A complaint I submitted to Alpha Bank has received no response to date. It has now been nearly a full month since my refund request of 4/17/2021, and I may have to initiate legal action against Private Tours Greece ... with all the complexities and additional outlays and delays that would involve ... in order to reclaim my funds. The lesson to be learned here is that Private Tours Greece cannot be counted upon to honor its promises and contractual commitments. If there is any chance at all that you may have to cancel your trip, STAY AWAY!

Tafalgar took us all around to see the must-sees. However, I would not use this company again. Local guides were promised, but not provided. The stays at supposedly 5 star hotels were ok, but the rooms did not even have facial tissue or wash cloths. Free time for lunch meals was not a free time. We were taken to a spot, often in the middle of nowhere and had to make due with the menu there. Time allotted for some attractions, like the Acropolis Museum, were for only 1/2 hour - barely time enough to get in the door.
This Week is an ode to the freedom of smooth cruising under sail. The little Cyclades are a fantastic sailing ground with flat seas to sail and crystal clear turquoise waters to explore at a relax pace. This week we begin our journey from the port of Paros and head south to the little Cyclades. The journey will first take us to the remote island of Despotiko to experience the Cycladic night Sky in one of our favourite remote beaches. The next days are completely dedicated to the turquoise waters of Schoinousa, Ano Koufonisi, Keros and Kato Koufonisi. Swim and dive amongst in some of the most extraordinary beaches of the Aegean. We continue with a northbound upwind sail to Donousa, before we head west towards the islands of Macheres and the port of Naxos. In Naxos you will get to walk between the narrow alleys of the Old Town, blend with the locals and experience the Cycladic night life. Finally we will head back to Paros for our farewell.

We had an amazing family vacation sailing with Jack & Jenny for the week. Firstly, the communication before the trip was great. They answered all of our (many) queries and did everything possible to make sure that the trip was planned to our satisfaction. The activities we did were all perfect and when we werent active we found time to be together as a family and relax on the boat. It was such a memorable trip for all of us and nothing was too much to ask. Would highly recommend Jack & Jenny for anyone looking to get out onto the water in the Greek Islands!

I have been on trips like this all over the world and this was one of the best!

We had such an amazing time! Jerome and Debbie are wonderful hosts and exceeded our expectations. The trip was so relaxing and fun at the same time. Food was very good! The three stops we had were all amazing and we could swim and snorkel as much as we liked. Debbie and Jerome also took very nice photos of us. We were very lucky to see a Dolphin! Thanks so much for the best experience!
We chose a modern Catamaran with an experienced crew to sail you around the islands of this route, such as the less known Antiparos, Schoinoussa & Koufonissi, along with the larger and more famous islands of Naxos and Mykonos. Our sailing yacht may comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests, in 4 double bed cabins all with en-suite facilities and Air-Conditioned. Our daily schedule includes most of the days 2 swim stops, in the morning and another at around noon time, when lunch will be served and our schedule includes arriving early afternoon in each port, so you will have time to explore each destination. Our meals on board, include fresh seasonal ingredients bought & prepared on each day, and will give you an insight into a home-made Greek meal different each day. By the end of the trip, we aim to have offered an introduction to “yachtlife”, a totally different concept of holidaying, the exploration of our country from the sea, and of course high-standard authentic Greek hospitality.
