We visited on a Sunday for a Sunday roast. We've tried lots of pubs already and I must say this is the best one so far. The best Yorkshire puddings, very tender turkey and delicious vegetables on the side. Service was excellent and the price of the Sunday roast was great too. 100% recommend and we will be coming back.

We visit Middleton quite often as it’s on one of our favourite walking routes but had not eaten here before. Lunch is served until 3pm which is a bonus as we’ve found some only do it until 2pm. We (and our dog) were met with a warm welcome and quickly served a drink. There’s loads to choose from on the lunch menu (there is even a doggie menu!) I had the sausage, mash and veg, while the hubby had a croque monsieur. Both dishes were very tasty. We also had a dessert each. Service was good and the two guys very friendly. Just what we needed after a 10 miler! We’ll definitely be back.

This is truly beautiful guesthouse. The decor is tasteful and the rooms immaculate. Everything is catered for in the rooms and the detail is wonderful, even down to the small bowl of fruit to welcome you to your room. The breakfasts are beautifully cooked and the “full English will set you up for the day. I would not hesitate in returning and recommending these premises - you won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely lovely place to stay, very very clean and tidy, breakfast to die for. The bed was really really comfortable, we had the annex switched on the shower and the water was hot in about a minute, with two tvs you could both watch what you wanted. Run by a lovely friendly couple.

A luxury B&B set in beautiful surroundings with 3 double rooms all with king size bed and stunning views offering a peaceful and technology-free retreat. Fancy a break with a difference? Bring your equine companion and explore the beautiful Teesdale countryside on horseback.
We stayed a night at Hunter House Farm during our Pennine Way walk, and it was simply the best accommodation we experienced during the whole 3 week trek. Carole and Pete welcomed us jam and cream scones with tea. They cooked a wonderful evening meal for us and sat down to eat with us. The breakfast was superb. Hunter House Farm itself is a beautifully renovated farmhouse with modern, spacious rooms. Very comfortable! It felt more like staying with friends in a fabulous house rather than a B&B!
