No Surprises, Good Stay!
Reviewed By FlyGuy47This hotel is only about 4 years old, so things are pretty new & clean. This was an "as expected" stay with none of those "surprises" you never want to have. Check-in was quick, friendly, and efficient. Check-out a little less so as we had to wait about 5 minutes as there was nobody at the front desk; then a staff member came up behind us carrying her breakfast and went in the back to tell the desk clerk to come out, which she eventually did. Breakfast was average for these kind of free-breakfast places.

Lower Rating Due to the Staff - Rooms were Nice
Reviewed By bscholar1My first time in Mcpherson I stayed here a couple of days. It was nice enough - rooms were super nice. I was exhausted and it was good to be there! I greatly enjoyed it. But once I started to deal with the staff then I had some issues. I ended up being in Mcpherson about 3 seperate times - twice in 2021 and once in 2022. I don't think I'll ever go back. The town is supposed to be 'well to do" but its also quite stuck up and the people are pretty closed to new people and especially people with different culture or life style. So this hotel is a nice place to just stay a little, but keep your interactions with the town limited. They just aren't too nice.

Had Problems with Staff, Facilities were Ok
Reviewed By bscholar1I've been to Mcpherson more than once since I went to /from Oklahoma some and passed through here. I stayed here once because another place which was cheaper, was closed. It was highly overpriced - it had been newly remodled so it looked good enough. But my account and payment was mucked up and when I checked out they tried to double charge me. My bank had to straighten it out. I ended up feeling Mcpherson is a discriminatory town - its supposed to be a well to do community but I ended up quite unimpressed with how they treat people. Also my bed was so darned high up - I needed a step ladder. Breakfast was pretty good in the morning, but really the staff was not very good to me, so I cannot give it a higher recommendation.

Reviewed By TraveloccassionallyProperty was fairly new, exceptionally clean and well kept. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Housekeeping was efficient and very nice and polite. Breakfast was fantastic. Mary and Wendy we exceptionally attentive to our needs and requests.

Illegal charges, less than avg hotel

No toilet paper in room, one tiny trash can, not enough towels for # of guests, old appliances, moldy air unit, dirty fridge, then staff surprises you with additional “misc” charges on the bill that are more than a nights stay! I called to find out why and they say that there was too much trash in the room. I had gathered all trash in bags neatly in the room and sat next to the can. I also had left a large tip for housekeeping because I’m an employer of rentals myself and it seems a lot of staff are underpaid. I was asked to call back later for management even though she had just talked to her minutes before.

McPherson Mini Vacation
Reviewed By pamb1022I havent seen my Aunt and Uncle plus cousins in several years. I took my new husband up and he met everyone. I enjoyed the trip and seeing everyone. My Uncle retired police chief of McPherson and my cousin owned a jewelry store. Loved it. The room was clean, comfortable, and beds slept good. I had my two little yorkies with me. I guess the first night the did to much visiting and had to quite them. The rest was ok. Every one was kind and courteous. Thank you Econo Lodge.
