Reviewed By AliasFlossyWe stayed for two nights in a double room. The site itself is difficult to find; there is a large sigh on the main road, but the side road has a sign pointing you left when really you should turn right.There are self catering cabins and campsites for tents, campervans and caravans available onsite. The site is built on the side of a hill, leading down to a lake with a small beach area. You can launch small boats or hire water bikes or kayaks onsite. The reception desk staff were abrupt and unwelcoming which wasn't a good first impression. The main areas included a room with tables and also a pool or billards table. Upstairs there was what appeared to be a bar area. In a separate building was a restaurant area which is also used for wedding receptions. If booking, check if a wedding is also taking place on site as they close access to the beach and lake area for the afternoon for the wedding ceremony. The room was a good size but had no view (unless you count the footpath and carpark). There was no airconditioning, but we could not leave the window open at night as two men sat on the stairs outside until early morning drinking and talking loudly. The bed was not comfortable, the curtains were too thin to block any light, and there were stains on the fabric of the bedhead. There was a TV and some bottles of water, plus bedside tables and a chair. There was a fridge on the outside landing for sharing between all guests. The bathroom was clean with good water pressure. The site has very poor mobile signal and the WiFi speed is .13Mb (a little of over 10% of a MB) - so slow that images from social media (Facebook, Instagram, online newspapers etc) cannot load. There is little atmosphere on site and all the guests kept to themselves, rarely even a hello. The only conversation we had onsite in two days was with the Dutch couple managing the site for the summer, who were lovely. We had an opportunity to visit two other sites in the area, and they were more welcoming and friendly, with people sharing BBQs. The area is nice, with easy access to sightseeing (Czocha Castle etc), but if returning to the area, we would try another resort.

Reviewed By Artur ANa mojej podróżniczej mapie trafiłem do "Babiego Lata", co mnie tam zastało, przemiła obsługa, to nie samowite ale tam się cieszą z wizyty gości, tego nie zaznacie w sieciowych hotelach, jedzenie domowe - pychaaaa, pokoje czyste , łóżka wygodne co więcej chcieć, mówię od razu , dla osób które lubują się w sieciówkach, to nie jest miejsce dla nich, tutaj jest inny "klimat" tutaj jest domowo, śniadanie które sobie zamówiłem było obfite i bardzo smaczne. Fajny przystanek np. w drodze na zamek Czocha.Polecam w 100%

Reviewed By Dirk SOur expectations were more than exceeded given that this is a two-star rated hotel. Super clean, nice atmosphere, decent polish breakfast with two freshly made salads and pork jelly and super nice bread. Staff is very friendly. The breakfast room is impressive. Only parking on a Saturday evening can be a bit difficult. Two thumbs up! Worth a try! Price-value-ratio is unbeatable. PS as regards the comment by another user regarding noise on a Saturday wedding night: we didn't hear ANYTHING !

Reviewed By Grzegorz SWspaniały klimat w przedwojennym domu są wszystkie udogodnienia dla odwiedzających potrzebujących odpoczynku.Bardzo mili właściciele pomogą , doradza co zwiedzić .Można też spędzić czas na zewnątrz są stoliki i grill. Dobra bazą wypadowa do zwiedzania pobliskich zabytków. Blisko jest do Czech i Niemiec.Polecam cisza i spokój można fajnie odpocząć.

Great but nearly ruined
Reviewed By E1067JImartagThe hotel experience was brilliant. Nice comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delicious. I must recommend the spa, truly relaxing. Now, a negative point, although a pretty big one. I was walking from the spa to my hotel room, when I came across a guided tour around the castle. Trying not to interrupt, I walked around the group when suddenly the tour guide looked at me and very rudely told me to leave the room immediately as "he was doing a tour" . I was shocked. I explained I didn't know the place and was trying to find my way. He was not interested and told me to find a different way. He humiliated me in front all this whole group. I was not interrupting in any way, but quietly making my way around the room. I do not know all the passageways in the castle, and i am not required to. If he found my fleeting presence unwanted, he could have said so politely. This nearly ruined what was a lovely relaxing day. I have already reported this incident to the reception and I hope this will be dealt with appropriately.
