Come to discover the charm of Brittany and Finistere at the castle hotel Manoir du Stang located at La Foret Fouesnant between Quimper and Concarneau. Le Stang is a manor from the XV and XVIII centuries in the property extending on 100 acres with garden, rosery, ponds, wood, ... Adjacent to the Golf de Cornouaille (18 holes) , 0.6 away from the ocean, opposite of the Gl?nan archipelago If you wish to stay in a confortable family house Monsieur HUBERT will be pleased to receive you at their property for a stay, a wedding, a seminar or to visit the gardens
One gets a feeling of history as you walk through the gate after a coming down a beautiful tree lined entry. The old stone walls of the manor are imposing yet welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms are large and ours looked out over the ponds. The beds were very comfortable and bathroom modern. Wifi worked well. The dining room and salon were beautiful rooms. The host was very welcoming. A stay is highly recommended but it is more a guest house than a hotel. Finding the place required some diligence as the address can be confused.

A very friendly welcome from the owner and shown how to access the hotel late at night etc. Room on the second floor which for my partner at 6 ft 2 ins was a little small. However light and airy with en suite. Very attractive for breakfast and dinner and easy access to the bay of La Foret only a few hundred yards down the road.

We booked a family holiday, paid in full and then the campsite contacted me 3 weeks later to advise group bookings (we are a family) are not allowed, she also ask us to change our dates and pay more money. We had already booked a ferry crossing as the holiday was paid in full and we had received confirmation of the booking. The campsite have now cancelled the holiday leaving me out of pocket for the cost of the ferry. I have explained the situation and the owner was not willing to reconsider or offer conpensation.

Came across camp site whilst lost me and the wife said we would stop for 3 nights ,we were still there 10 days later! prices very reasonable for July, all the staff very friendly, owner speaks perfect English and orrected me on my class room french The campsite has access to an excellent beach via a small pathway If you are looking for water shoots , swimming pools bar ect then this is not the place, no security gards needed . Campsite down the road can be a bit noisy but did shut up at 11ish. Small town mile ish away as a couple of bars pizza bar and small supermarket. As a wheel chair user the camp was ok for getting about ,but beyond the entrance it was a no no , too hilly Having spent six weeks touring France campsite had best disabled toilets of all. Can't tell you about suitability for children , wer'e pensioners. Also handy for roscoff ferry.

We stayed for one night last June, and the welcome we received can only be described as glacial, an atmosphere matched only by the decor of the room. The woodwork - doors, architraves etc looked as though they were originals, circa 1950s and never decorated since and the room itself was off-white with a freezing vinyl floor and single geometric print of the same vintage. Wallpaper was peeling and the bathroom freezing, and antiquated, except, bizarrely for the power shower. This may mean renovations are underway, though it seems odd not to do the whole room at once. The view was of the car park, even though we were among the only guests. No idea what breakfast was like, we didn't dare risk it. So tired it was almost comatose.

We were exploring the area and looking for somewhere to stay with our motorhome. Had a really bad experience in Carnac, where we were shoved between statics and were charged an excessive amount for the privilege. Discovered this site and originally planned to stay just two nights, we ended up remaining there for the rest of our holiday. It is a pleasant, quiet, mature and well-run site, with excellent facilities and literally less that two minutes walk from the very attractive little town of La Foret Fouesnant. Lots to do in the town and surrounding area, with good public transport links to places such as Concarneau and Quimper (only two euros pp each way on the bus). There are a few bars and restaurants, a sufficient rang of shops, weekly markets and an outstanding boulangerie within two hundred yards of the campsite. The local church is beautiful and the town has several walks and cycle ride routes around the bay. We saw lots of other campsites in the area, most of which seemed to adopt the "sardines" approach, which is fine, if that's your thing. We prefer having space to relax in a little and this site suited us perfectly. We shall definitely be back.

Stayed at this campsite in a two bedroom cabin/mobile home for 3 nights and found the place to be very friendly, extremely clean and very quiet at this time of year. The warden Danielle was very helpful and gave the impression that she would take no nonsense from the guests staying on site. Good place for a break at this time of year. Well worth a visit.
