Pilgrim shelter placed in the center of Belorado (Burgos) at the end of the stage 10 of the Santiago's Way.
Staying here tonight. Overall, not a bad place, certainly nicer than many other albergues along the Camino. But be warned: Pros: great location, pretty good “pilgrim dinner” for a very good price. The staff was very nice (when you could find them...) and the facilities are certainly above average: nice beds, clean linens, small but nice kitchen. They even have an old school arcade machine with dozens of games for a price. Cons: Don’t bother with the washing service. I get they are trying to be helpful, but I asked to use a machine in the bathroom where the sign says “ask hospilitero to use machine”. Instead of using the machine, the nice staff person did my laundry for me. Kinda nice, if you know what you are doing. We are all pilgrims. We all buy the same predominately synthetic “quick dry” gear, which does ***not*** get fabric softener. I got my clothes back clean, but COVERED in icky fabric softener that not only alters the feel of the clothes (making them feel slimey and gross) but also messes up their “quick dry” properties. All other albergues with a machine in a public area have you do your own laundry. They should stick to this policy. It was a busy night, so maybe they were trying to be helpful and keep machines free. But. I paid €7 and I’ll have to wash everything again at my very next stop. Also, the rooms get *very* hot, even on a wet, chilly night. And you will always have *that* pilgrim who turns on the heat full blast and closes the windows in a room of 20 people. Also, they have an absolutely ABSURD policy to turn off all the lights everywhere at 10pm. Even in public areas. I know most folks get up at 5am and need their sleep. I get that. But I like time at night to journal and read and public areas away from sleeping areas should be allowed to have lights on.

Very helpful host. Property is very clean and has some unique decor items. The rooms are spacious, the garden is relaxing. The food is very good and the restaurant is very popular with pilgrims. The situation is just perfect, right on the Camino, beside the church and a very short walk to the main square.

This lovey bed and breakfast was a welcome stop on the Camino. The owner was very welcoming and our room was spotlessly clean. You’ll find good information in the other posts, but I’ll mention there is no air conditioning. We were traveling on a 95 degree day and currently at midnight it’s quite hot in our room with the window open…but a lovely hotel that you’ll enjoy along the Camino!

We stay here every spring when we walk the Camino. The albergue is on the Camino just at the entrance to the town of Belorado, Spain. It has dorm beds as well as private rooms. An added perk is a swimming pool! Check in is easy. Our private room is very nice and the heater is on when we arrive, a nice benefit in April. There is a restaurant here as well and the food and service is great. It’s the first place you come to when you arrive in Belorado. Many pilgrims stay here and I think that they are satisfied with everything. There is also a kitchen if you want to cook your own food and washers and dryers as well. We have always returned.

Very lovely lodging! Extremely clean and modern. We had a private room for two with a bathroom. The host Joaquin was excellent - cooking dinner and breakfast and even washing our clothes. This was one of our nicest stays on the Camino. Highly recommended!

Caminante is right on the Camino de Santiago, so you don't have to look for it. My double room was basic, yet clean and comfortable. The same goes for the bathroom. There is a rooftop terrace, which was nice if you just wanted to hang out at the property. There is also a small kitchen and a big living room for guests. If you like peace and quiet, this hostel is just what you're looking for.

Very nice room but noisy as other guests talking loudly into the night. Very bad behaviour - disappointing as location and condition of the property was great. Good welcome and explanation of local facilities etc. Underfloor heating made room very hot.

Located along the Camino de Santiago, the Hotel Jacobeo is an ideal base from which to explore one of the most charming regions of Spain. Be it the natural landscapes, the numerous historical monuments, the wine culture in the numerous nearby wineries, the skiing in Valdezcaray resort or the local cuisine, the "Riojilla Burgalesa" offers something for everyone.
I found this hotel quite nice. My room was on the second floor on the street and yet did not seem particularly loud. Breakfast was a little crowded for the Camino traffic as everyone was getting up and trying to get going in the morning. I wound up making a sandwich of sorts and taking my coffee up to my room. Staff was friendly and helpful and my room wasPleasant. Plenty of hot water. Would recommend this and stay there again.

I actually stayed here in October of 2018. The pilgrim season winding down for the year. Not crowded at all on the route or in the albergues. I like the vibe this albergue had. Kinda Bohemian. Relaxed. Hospitalero's are really cool. Facilities are good. No complaints. Had the pilgrim's meal there. Was nice. Interesting small town on the Camino.
