Great little site
Reviewed By Paul SWe were camping with a ten. Pros: Very, very clean facilities. Spacious pitches. Plenty of shade. Lovely pool. Plentiful supply of very hot water. Supermarket 800 mtrs away. Well stocked bike hire facility. Excellent, if rather overpriced, pizzas. Lovely 20 minute stroll through vineyards to Ars-en-Re and its lively daily market or through a forest to the beach (at low tide it is rock pool heaven!) Cons: Traffic noise from road, more noticeable at night. No hand washing facilities in toilet blocks (but strangely there are potable water stands directly outside the blocks that people were seen using to wash hands after using the toilets, which is not particularly hygienic). No bins in toilet cubicles for feminine hygiene use.

The hotel *** Thalacap Ile de Re is directly connected to the thalassotherapy institute. It is located 150 meters from the beach and 800 meters from a beautiful village: Ars en Ré. Comfortable room, pool or garden view, with bathroom, hair dryer, television, telephone, safe, wifi free access.The best of this hotel: unlimited access to the Fitness Marin (Sauna, Hammam, swimming pool with heated sea water, relaxation room, aquagym ...).
Huge hotel, comfortable room

Comfortable and clean room, efficient check-in, a great disappointment was that the restaurant was fully booked for dinnner considering that there is nothing much within walking distance. Plenty of parking outside the hotel. Wifi ok in the room, but did not work on the terrace. We did not use the spa so cannot comment on that. Breakfast was good, plenty of choices. Would probably choose a hotel closer to one of the towns next time.

Charming hotel in the middle of the village, rooms are all different, patios full of flowers, a little heated swimming pool, a fire place, a hearty staff, an ideal place to spend a wonderful stay in ile de Re.

Which according to the terms should have entitled me to a full refund. However the hotel refused to pay me back, instead they issued a credit note. And said I could get my money back after 18 months. It has now been 18 months, I asked for my money back. The hotel offered to extend my credit - clearly not wanting to reimburst my money. I said «no Thanks» and that I’d rather have the money reimburst. After 4-5 emails back and fourth they compiled. However - they have now managed to draw the same amount from my account instead of crediting. They are not picking up the phone, they are slow to respond. I have previously stayed here. But with the absolute amateur operation they are Running I’m never going back. There is a complete lack of Customer service

Le Clocher is ideally located on the site of the church of Ars en Re. You are within 10mins walk of shops, harbor and beach. The hotel consists of 20 rooms decorated in a pure style retais (wall paneling, parquet blond, soft colors ...). We have double, triple and three family rooms. The breakfasts are served on the terrace, facing the famous Ars church and the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner with a wide selection of fresh local produce
Perfect place to relax and enjoy life style in Île de Ré
Reviewed By T2205BWevapWe spent our holidays for the second time at Le Clocher because we love being in the middle of the french village life. From the room we can hear the church bells, listen to the people in the square, smell the beach close by and feel the cool breeze. The rooms are very cute, they are decorated like a minimalist beach hut and are super clean. Breakfast is fantastic, warm just baked bread and the best croissants we have ever eaten. The service is impeccable. The owner is onsite and everything runs smoothly and it is very well taken care of. We definitely will go back again. Thank you Charline for providing such an amazing place for your guests to enjoy!

Quiet Location, away from the crowds with lovely gardens
Reviewed By Jan BLocated just outside Ars En Re in pretty gardens, this Logis de France has a swimming pool & good parking & was ideal for our 2 night break. The big surprise was our accommodation in a first floor studio apartment in the gardens. We had a south facing private balcony, large room with a tucked away fridge & cooking facilities, so would be good for a longer stayover. In addition we had a separate toilet & shower room. The hotel restaurant serves an excellent multi course dinner & lunch with the menu du jour costing 29 euros.

Great value for money/doggy friendly
Reviewed By Tracy eStayed 4 nights. Just a short 5 minutes walk to doggy friendly beach (except July and August). Friendly staff. Bar, table tennis and other games etc. Kids playground. Pitches are a good size- we have a challenger camper. Electric included in the price and camper service area with free water etc . Overall really great. Area kept quite natural and environmentally friendly with plenty of recycling available. Would definitely stay again.
