The "New Normal" and a "New World" we are living in, but somethings just don't go away, for a person like me, its "travelling and exploring" . Since this pandemic started, people like me have been locked inside and working from home, the routine has just been, work, bed, back to work. I really wanted to break those shackles and wanted to have a break, a vacation, but not a "Sightseer" kind, rather a place I can have peace and really, "Do Nothing". As most of us do, research before you travel, and in these times, you really should do a thorough one. I won't go into the details but I found this property to be almost ticking every box. Due to loads of checking, a landslide causing a de-tour, took me 17 hours from Delhi, and reached at 10 PM. The owner, Mr. Panki Sood, was well connected with me on phone since the booking was done, which did help in getting more information, over and above a thought , someone is waiting for you Once reached, was happy to see that they are serious of following health norms, my stuff sanitized, temp check done, shoes to be taken off outside, and get my Covid test negative certificate. Also, for the first 3 days, good social distancing was maintained which does give a confidence, that they are serious in keeping themselves and the visiting guests safe. Spent few days just inside the property and loved the food, the views, the sound of the river which is practically touching the property. They have a dedicated kitchen which prepares homely food and hey, they take special requests, so if you want some good fish, non-veg dish or any local delicacy, just ask for it They also have a bonfire place and a good seating arrangement at different places where one can read a book or just relax. They also have a stream of fresh water, which I just loved. Having lived few days in trekking and tenting on remote hills, i know that these natural water stream have the best thing you can give to your body, purest form of water. Mr. Panki runs a school which is located just next to the property and in these difficult times, he is giving it back to the society by ensuring that local kids get what they need in that age, he also arrange volunteer session and virtual session for online studies. I really want to thank him for giving me an opportunity to talk to those kids and conduct a session through which I shared some of my own life experiences and take some lessons from the kids too To just close with the essence, this property gives you peace of mind over and above everything else you would like to be in your travel plans, along with those minutest details which brings a smile and make you thing, right choice made.

Manikaran Gurudwara is in valley, which has great view in and around, We had langar and we liked it, the best part of this langar is that the rice cooked in the hot spring waters, After our langar when we went to clean our hand the water was warm and it is from hot spring water, it was the amazing expierence, I think that was my first and last expierence with natural hot springs water, The time we visited was great, it was october the weather was just perfect. If you are in Manali, make a point to visit this place. It is a couple of minutes drive from Naggar Castle. The place is simply lovely and is extremely well maintained. The gallery of paintings by Nicholas Roerich is interesting. The life of the man is worth knowing about. The institute's activities and its association with a new-born India should fascinate many. The lovely walk up to the Tribal Art Gallery is also great. I would recommend a visit to people who are interested in our immediate past.

A excellent hike from Sojha to this beautiful meadow on top of the mountain. 360 views all around and on a clear day can see snow capped mountains. Otherwise also it is amazing and great place to shoot photos which would be literally out of the world. Possibility is that you will loose yourself to nature and time will just slip by...

The Serolsar Lake is a beautiful lake and we visited it from Tirthan. You trek 6 Kms on a hilly track from Jalori pass, through a forest of Kharshoo Oak trees and suddenly you get to the majestic Serolsar Lake! Surrounded by Alpine trees, a sight to behold, held sacred by the locals .And all the trekking you did and will do was well worth it !
