Stow-on-the-Wold is a small market town and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England. It is situated on top of an 800 ft (244 m) hill, at the convergence of a number of major roads through the Cotswolds, including the Fosse Way (A429). The town was founded as a planned market place by Norman lords to take advantage of trade on the converging roads. Fairs have been held by royal charter since 1330 and an annual horse fair is still held on the edge of the town.

How lovely to see such a good independent bookshop. So many interesting titles. Bought a few books but could have staggered out with so many more. Very pleasant staff. And a coffee shop to boot! Wonderful children’s section. Shame mine are too old now to appreciate them.

A lovely gallery and extremely friendly staff who go out of their way to help you (a nice cuppa is always on offer). Their exhibitions are always stunning and a great chance to meet and greet the artists. I bought a lovely Lydia Corbett which now takes pride in the living room. Highly recommend this gallery for its service, art and staff.

We are a small, long established, independent bookshop with a large selection of books for gifts, local history, childrens, cookery, and the latest titles in hardback and paperback. We also have a selection of greetings cards, calendars and diaries. Our staff are happy to recommend books and help you find that tricky present. Brock, the friendly shop dog, has his own following!
We visited Borzoi while on honeymoon and enjoyed the quaint environment, great selection, and warm staff. Indie bookstores have a special place in our hearts and this was one is well worth a visit if you're ever in the area. We were able to find a few Christmas gifts, some books for ourselves, a great topographic map of he area, and some lovely cards by a local artist. Ended up spending close to an hour in Borzoi browsing the travel, nature, cooking, fiction, and children's books sections. We hope to visit again whenever our travels bring us back to the Cotswolds.

Loved visiting Tara's which is situated in the Market Square and is on three floors. All merchandise is very well spread out and presented and the range of stock is huge. I managed to find something that I had been looking for, and the shopkeeper luckily enough was the dealer of the product and gave me a very reasonable price for my piece. I would definitely visit again as I am sure I only saw the tip of the iceberg!!!! All Covid restrictions are in place and observed.

We loved our visit to Stow and with Bourton-on-the-Water, these were our highlights of the trip to the Cotswolds. Enough to do and some lovely independent shops (the charity shops are worth a look in!) and have a wander around. Picture opportunities abound with wonderfully old buildings everywhere.

We make crumbly fudge from all natural ingredients on the slab in the shop...while you watch! We buy in butter, milk and sugar to create our award winning fudge; the smell fills Stow Square - just follow your nose! You can taste a piece of warm fudge from the slab or ask us for a taste of any of the 16 flavours available all year round. We also sell Sidoli's ice cream - proper ice cream made with double cream. Roly's Fudge Sauce also available on your ice creams or to buy to enjoy at home.
Visited on a wet bank holiday Monday afternoon - the fudge was a great pickup from the rain and an enjoyable treat on our first few days away since COVID. Whisky and ginger, rum ans raisin, sea salt and vanilla, all very tasty! Certainly recommended!

Cotswold Chocolate, Cotswold Fudge and confections are still handmade by our small company, for many years we have been serving Stow on the Wold and the Cotswolds with our range of traditional sweets and gifts for all occaisons.
Decided to take a trip out to the beautiful town of Stow on the Wold and found this little treasure depicting everything s sweet shop should be. Though smalll it is packed with shelves of goodies to make your mouth water but not only that hand made chocolates that I was told by the owner are made from scratch and are individually dipped and decorated almost to good to eat but eat we did ,my favourite being the salted caramel truffle. We did buy some of the chocolate pigs and mice to give away but unfortunately these were consumed on the journey home. The customer service as good as the good sold this shop is a must if you visit here
