Fantastic gift shop! Incredibly friendly and helpful owners :) Since Lock down they are now offering a window shopping service, products also found on their Facebook page - quick to respond. Delivery or collection. I love its contents! Tv/film memorabilia, accessories etc. Great for this time of year too as such great stuff for stocking fillers :)

Commemoration of the last launch of the Henry Ramey Upcher lifeboat in 1945. It is 75 years since the Henry Ramey Upcher lifeboat last went into the sea as recorded here : https://rnliarchive.blob.core.windows.net/media/1734/1945wys.pdf#page=37 and here https://sheringhamsociety.com/. Accordingly Accordingly we will open the lifeboat doors and raise the flag from 12 noon to 16:00 on both Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August. We will have a barrier to stop entrance into the building but at least the public will see the boat on display from outside. We will put a bucket outside for donations to Sheringham RNLI We were unable to open at Easter 2020 as normal as UK CON-VIV-19 advice is that people over 70 are at risk and should avoid unnecessary social contacts. The Shell Gallery is temporarily closed. Normally run by volunteers, the gallery is beautiful and has some sublime pieces of work it will only take 5-10 minutes to look round but is located in a beautiful town right on a beautiful beach and seafront and is more than worth seeing whilst you enjoy the rest of the beauty of Sheringham which this only adds to!
The shell gallery is situated between the town and the seafront, with car parking a short walk away. The gallery itself is a single room displaying a lifetime's work - which has been thoughtfully displayed in mirrored cabinets - and Coke's workshop in the corner, arranged as he left it. Entry is free but do make a donation towards its upkeep if you can. The gallery is run by friendly volunteers who will give you a leaflet about Peter Coke and his work and chat further if you so wish. We stayed about 15 or 20 minutes to take in all the intricate detail. It's great that the gallery has survived; many of the shell gardens of the 1970s/1980s are long since demolished. Coke's work is so ornate, it must have been a labour of love just searching for so many of the same type of shell! The detail is minuscule, so look closely. There are too many designs to name, all equally impressive. Everyone will have a favourite piece!

High tide, well worth a visit as the waves were hitting the rocks and it was totally exhilarating. Beautiful beach, whatever the weather.

We had a lovely walk along by the priory and by the railway line to beeston bump, lots of nature to look at and nice and peaceful, there's a new improved path to walk along, lots of steps to walk up to the top of the bump but there is also a path along the side of it if you don't fancy going over the top although it's well worth the climb up to see the views of sheringham and towards weybourne one side and cromer the other..plenty of seating to sit on to rest and enjoy the scenery a must do whilst visiting.
