Kingsdale Wines is a boutique family operated vineyard and winery, located at Kingsdale, on the corner of Crookwell Road and Marble Hill Road, overlooking Lake Sooley and located only a five minutes drive from the historic city of Goulburn. We enjoy a fresh mountain climate with (normally) mild summers and cool winters. Our grapes are hand picked and all aspects of the wine making process are done on site. Many of our wines have been awarded show medals. We are open Weekends from 10am to 5 pm. On weekdays, please phone first.
Spent an hour today tasting huge variety of wines. Loved the description and history of each wine. Thanks Elly, we will be back!

Authentic - Renowned - World Class Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum is located on a spectacular rocky outcrop overlooking the inland city of Goulburn NSW. Rocky Hill War Memorial tower opened in 1925 to commemorate local women and men who served in World War One. The onsite museum has continued to collect since its opening in 1927 and with the completion of a new state of the art museum building in 2020 the collection is now exhibited across 2 buildings . The collection includes rare and unique objects of National Significance including WW1 war trophies and a prison cell door from Changi prison which has been installed in the museum. This substantial collection is widely celebrated as a moving cultural heritage experience dedicated to commemorating and interpreting compelling stories, including Goulburn’s own stories, of the men and women who have served Australia in conflict.
We visited the War Memorial this week and were pleasantly surprised by the trip up. When we arrived in Goulburn to visit, this tower stood out on top of the hill and we had to know what it was. Upon learning that it was a war memorial, I just needed to go see it. Once you arrive, there is the wall of remembrance and an eternal flame. But as you walk up the many flights of stairs, it is the images of the war - large photos from different battlefields - that really draw your attention and make you pause for thought. It is a very striking way to capture the visitor's attention as they are on the wall all the way up the stairs. The view from the top of the tower is amazing - 360 degrees around Goulburn and the surrounding district. We didn't go to the museum as we were time-poor but it will be something we do on the next visit.

So much history in one quiet place. This church is currently being restored and it is a remarkable piece of architecture.

Construction of stage one of the Wollondilly River walkway is completed. Many community members are already taking advantage of the area to exercise, take a stroll with the family or walk their dogs.
We parked a car at one end and did the whole walk. Very varied and always of interest, Take a picnic as there are tables and chairs along the way.

Another tick of the BIG list, the Big Merino (Goulburn NSW) ???? This thing is amazing to look at and very detailed, it also doubles as a gift shop and history of wool museum inside as well. You can even climb up a stair case on the inside to see out it’s eyes WHAAAAAT!!!
