A must-see while here! Bright vibrant colors! I still can't believe it was free! The monarch butterflies were going crazy, preparing for their big migration. Excellent photo op right along the lake shore!

The Olm family has owned and operated Pine River Dairy for more than 75 years at the current location. Today the Olm family, now in its sixth generation of dairy food producers, continues to operate the business manufacturing and selling butter and butter blends at a wholesale level. Pine River Dairy boasts having over 250 varieties of cheese available in the retail store located in the manufacturing facility.
I bought cheese and butter . Large selection of cheeses and butter . Souvenir items too . People working there are very nice. They also have a window into cheese making area and you can see cheese being made - very cool . All the cheese and butter are very very good . Definitely going back .

Silver Creek has the best disc golf course in the state and probably rivals the best in the nation. There are professional courses as well as beginner and intermediate. Whether you bring your whole bag of professional discs, or show up with one disc (that you may have just bought from the BP down the road from the course) you will have a good time.

I recommend the Luck of the Skull Stout and Portly Fellow porter. All of the brews I sampled were good, but these were the best! Definitely a brewery worth visiting.

Only a few blocks from the U.S.S. Cobia which is docked at the Manitowoc Maritime Museum, the Sputnik crash site will move you from the WW II era into the early space era that so many of us were transfixed watching in front of our over-sized black & white TVs. Not much to see, but an interesting site, nonetheless.
