Helsingborg is southern Sweden’s city by the sea, where wonderful beaches, attractions, shopping and nature are all just moments away. Enjoy the gardens of Sofiero and Fredriksal, climb the stairs to the top of the tower Kärnan, then dip your toes in the sea… later, explore fascinating exhibitions at Dunkers Culture Hall, indulge in the unique offerings of the local stores, and savor cuisines from around the world in Helsingborg’s vast selection of restaurants.

The Town HallBuilt in the 1890s in neo-Gothic style according to plans by Alfred Hellerström who subsequently became the city architect. Declared a listed building in 1967. The clock tower is 65 metres high, the façade richly decorated and the interiors magnificent. The stained glass windows with motifs from the city’s history are famed.
This neo-Gothic town hall is most impressive, with red brick walls and a green roof. It dominates the area, which is quite attractive.

In Pålsjö forest you can walk along a network of trails among old beech, oak and alder trees. Pålsjöbäcken stream winds through the area down to the pond at the Pålsjö mill.
It’s one of my favourite places in Helsingborg. Just a few minutes walk in the city and you're one with nature. Amazing walking paths with little spots where you can take a break, sit on a bench and overlook the Oresund river and just admire the sheer beauty around you.

Tropical beach is at the far end of the Parapet along the pier that separates the area from the boats sailing to Denmark. The beach was completed in time for H99, the major housing exhibition in 1999, and quickly became popular with both residents of Helsingborg and tourists. It is a natural sandy beach, but since the housing exhibition we have planted palm trees every year, hence its name.

Gröningen is a lively recreation area in central Helsingborg, perfect for hang-outs on sunny days. Vast green areas for picnic or sports, an outdoor gym, a pirate playground and a large wooden deck where you can enjoy the sun or the crowd. You'll find many great spots for a swim in the sound, and nice restaurants and bars along the boardwalk.
