Wow!! What a lovely place to visit. Visiting the area for a few days, we decided to visit Brean Down. It was a beautiful sunny day and collecting some lovely coffee from the National Trust cafe near the car park, we scaled the cliff. It was so well worth it. The view from the top was amazing. The tide was out showing off a huge beach area. Lovely experience.

Excellent clean Beach with plenty of space to run with the dog. There is also a lovely place called the Sundowner Beach bar to stop for a drink and food. You can sit on one of the benches that faces out to the beach and sea.

Visited this church for a very special reason - It is also a lighthouse!! My hobby. I chatted to the curates and a very helpful lady to try and decide which was the light. Not obvious. Really lovely people. The church itself is wonderful. Beautiful inside with a huge chandelier and a very nicely designed structure. The tower leans beautifully but was told that happened when built! Lovely

apex park is a wildlife park with lakes in Burnham on sea
My family and I would recommend this place as you have a big Lake for feeding the ducks and swans. Picnic area. Big play area, skateboard park. Football pitch. Lovey walk around the lake. A meal van that does exactent food. It joins Highbridge to Burnham-on-Sea. Also you have a river walk that you can access via the park that takes you to the beach.

A beautiful, dog friendly beach! We parked at the Brean Down National Trust car park, £5 all day. The Down is also worth a visit if you are visiting the beach. Spectacular views from the top!

2 kids under 10, 2 parents and 2 grandparents and we all had a great time. The idea of buying wristbands based on height is good as it means anyone unable to go on many rides can still enter the park free and can just buy tickets for any rides suitable for their age or disability. All staff were really friendly and helpful and keeping customers safe with social distancing and hand sanitisers everywhere. All rides were cleaned after each session. It’s not in the same league as some of the bigger theme parks and undoubtedly some of the rides have been there for many years - but for a fun day out with kids and without paying a fortune it’s ideal. We used Tesco clubcard vouchers which was very easy.
