This amazing church formed part of a monastery (Salesians) - with the most exquisite rococo forms I have ever seen. It is absolutely a must if you happen to pass through Amberg!

Set in the heart of the small old city, this basilica (ordained by Pope John Paul II) has very beautiful windows - obviously, they survived the two world wars! Very impressive also the central altar: the brilliantly illuminated "heart of the church".
