This small distillery is a great place to visit. The tour takes about half an hour and you can hear and talk from the guy who actually does the distilling. The tasting room upstairs offers a flight of 6 types of whiskey, moonshine and rum they make on property. The half ounce samples are $10 for the flight of 6. They also have infused liquors, a fight of 3 for $10. They also serve mixed drinks using their distilled brews.

Lindwedel Winery

Established in 2007. Lindwedel Winery's owners have a passion for the lake and expansive land views of which their Winery offers to its visitors as they step foot on their land. The Lindwedels settled in the Ozarks on Table Rock Lake, right outside of Branson, Missouri in 1995. Ever since they have begun a life in the winery business, it has allowed friends and family alike to enjoy and revel in both the beauty and peace of the atmosphere. In March of 2007, Kim and Steve Lindwedel bought 15 acres just west of Branson where they are now overlooking the rolling hills of the Ozarks and witness the lights of the city at night. Lindwedel Winery offers many Missouri grape varietals.

This was our second stay at Bear Creek Winery / Bed and Breakfast for us. The quite atmosphere is so relaxing and enjoyable after a hectic week of work and stress. To be in the middle of the Ozarks surrounded by trees where the view is so absolutely breathtaking is an experience everyone should try to do once in their lives. We plan to visit again in the fall when the leaves start to turn their brilliant color of orange, yellow and reds.

Branson, Missouri is a tourist town and like any tourist town, there is no shortage of places in the city to get a taste of booze, local and otherwise. I try to go for the local when I travel, and my thirst for Missouri- made libations led me to Crown Valley Distillery. I have visited many breweries and distilleries in my day, in large part because I operate a national known beer blog, Great Beer Now. I have been to countless breweries that also have distilleries, but Crown Valley is one of the few places I have visited that sells its own booze, beer, cider, and wine! You don’t normally find places with variety like that and this fact alone was enough to convince me to pay a visit. Walking into Crown Valley Distillery, you will notice right away that this is a place designed for tasting. The tasting bar grabs your attention immediately and the surrounding space is well- lit and includes a gift shop. I went straight for the tasting bar when I visited, as I was anxious to try some drinks and see what this establishment had to offer. There are several different options for tasting at Crown Valley, but my recommendation is to go with the option that includes two wines, two spirits, and two beers. This is a great way to sample a little of everything and the cost is low. The beers include beers and ciders so you can mix and match whatever way you like. I really enjoyed the craft beer and crafted spirits. I tasted moonshine, wine, and beer quite unlike any I had tried previously. Since I’m primarily a beer person, I took an instant liking to Gunslinger Double IPA and I also really enjoyed the Blackberry Cider. The liquor was memorable, too. Service at Crown Valley Distillery is very good and I like that the person serving the drinks had a strong knowledge of craft beer, wine, and spirits. There are other places in the Branson, Missouri area that serve adult beverages, but Crown valley Distillery is one of the area’s best and it’s a place you need to add to your visitation list of you want to get a true taste of Missouri adult beverages and what the state offers.

If you are in Branson, check out Curling Vines. Free tour and wine tasting with very knowledgeable staff. This facility is in the middle of town so no area to buy a glass or bottle and enjoy it there. Plenty of wine to take home and a beautiful gift shop. Enjoyed learning about the history of wine making in Missouri and the specifics of their wine. Loved the Sangria! Cheers!
