Since 1890 Brochier family has been handing down a tradition born in Lyon in the 16th century : manufacturing exceptional natural silk fabrics and printing artists scarves. Four generations followed one another since the creation of the factory, each of them transmitting to the next one their passion for a work that demands a permanent involvement. The silk printing technique used in our workshop is inspired by the hand screen printing. It is also called "frame printing" or "à la lyonnaise". Today, we combine the traditional techniques with the new generations of high-definition digital printing. For the napped velvet pieces, the velvet is hand painted with painbrushes. You will find here in our shop a unique collection of artists silk scarves and neck ties, Made in France: from Jérôme Bosch and Rembrandt to Picasso and Jeff Koons.

We were on a tour and the shop owner came out and explained all about how silk was made in this city. He was so much fun and let us all look at the silk worms. I wish we had more time here as I wanted to go through the shop and look around. It looked as if they had beautiful items. Such a nice guy to come out and do that for free!

Un musée qui fait chanter les objets. Initié en 2007 par 2 collectionneurs rhodaniens, le Musée de la Musique Mécanique d’Oingt (Val d'Oingt) vous accueille dans un espace de près de 200m². Nous vous proposons de découvrir l’ambiance musicale du XIXe siècle, à travers une collection exceptionnelle d’instruments de musique mécanique. Tous les instruments exposés fonctionnent : petits orgues, harmonium mécanique, orchestron, limonaires, accordéons, pianos (12), Pianola,… Entrée gratuite, participation libre dans une corbeille en fin de visite.

Visiter ce chantier, c’est assister en direct à l’édification, au fil des jours, des bâtiments de Montcornelles, comme en 1347. Véritable voyage dans l’univers de la construction au Moyen Age, le parc offre une rencontre unique avec les savoir-faire, une aventure immersive à partager en famille et une épopée à suivre, créatrice de liens et de souvenirs. We had a short jaunt from our river cruise to this wonderful shop. Unlike Hershey, you won't be overrun by tourists. This is a small village and the shop has many types of chocolate for sale, each under a large tub of fee samples. Each one is a 4mm thick biscuit of joy. When you complete your purchase they throw in many free samples and you'll wonder why you didn't bring an extra suitcase for candy.
