Virginia can make American history come alive. Visit Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, tour Civil War battlefields, explore the living history museum at Williamsburg… the possibilities are endless (if the kids object, break up the historical sightseeing with a visit to Busch Gardens). Arlington, site of Arlington National Cemetery, is just across the Potomac River from all the major sites in D.C. In addition to beaches and historical attractions, Virginia has plenty to offer outdoor enthusiasts. Active families will love the Blue Ridge Highlands, where hiking, canoeing and tubing are just a few of the activities offered. Couples might enjoy a romantic mountain cabin in Virginia after a day of hiking in Shenandoah National Park.

4 romantic, secluded cottages in the Blue Ridge Mountains; full equipped kitchens, gas fireplaces, 2 person Jacuzzi tubs - BBQ grill on deck. Very quiet and peaceful; no TV or telephone. Have recently opened the Log House; it is for couples that like to travel together; 2 master suites upstairs, but sharing the kitchen, living room, and dining areas. Only have to bring your food; everything else is provided.
We have been going to Chesley Creek for 11 years. It offers us the chance to just breath and have a well deserved respite. The calm and beauty of the mountain is beyond words. We've stayed in the Creek House, Ridge, and Pine throughout the years. The cabins are spotless, updated, cozy and welcoming. We enjoy sitting in the rocking chairs on the deck and just taking in the quiet. The kitchens are well equipped, the gas fireplace is a great ambiance, the beds are so comfy, and the jacuzzi's are such a nice place to relax after a day of exploring. The owners Chuck and Stu are awesome hosts. We arrive with a hand written note welcoming us back every time. They are accommodating, and just all around wonderful to deal with. We cannot wait until our next trip to the mountain.

Our newly rennovated cottages are a great place to stay for a nice getaway with family and friends. In each of our beautifully decorated cottages, we have high-speed internet, one or two bedrooms with bath, kitchen & dining area, and a living room with flat screen televisions. Along with renting a cottage, you will have free parking next to your cottage, access to the pool (with fenced security), access to our fully stocked linen room (open 24 hours), access to our new playground equipment, and access to a personal grill & your own picnic table. Also, our island is neighboring the beautiful Assateague Island National Seashore & Wildlife Refuge and within walking distance to watch the famous sunsets, to go shopping downtown, dining, or take a trolley ride.
Our 2 bedroom cottage was neat and clean. It had everything we needed except a water view. I only wish the bathroom had more counter space and that there would be pet friendly cottages available This is a great value especially if you utilize the kitchen like we did

Stayed in the Blue Cottage. Ultra clean and the best appointed kitchen we’ve found. Had paper towels, sponge, dish soap, etc., even coffee! Also had a flashlight, umbrella, extra jackets. So thoughtful. Comfy queen bed. Snug shower, but water hot and pressure fine. The front yard borders the Creeper Trail; the back Laurel Creek. Can walk almost everywhere in Damascus. Grocery is 2 miles away.

We stayed in the Guest House while in Galax for a family reunion. The property is lovely and very well appointed. Noel is a wonderful host. I wish we could have stayed longer. It was truly stress free. The winery is very inviting and the wine is delicious. This place is a real gem. You won't be disappointed. Oh and the best part, they are pet-friendly too. Our boyz send a hello to Mr. Peanut.

We are regulars at the Ivy Cottage, Tree Tops, and Kathleen's Cottage! All these charming cottages are on adjoining properties, and all 5 STAR accommodations. This is a private, beautiful property, on the Piankatank river with amazing pier and swim area. Peacocks roam the area and will show off their beauty. Osprey, eagles, sea life. There is lot's to enjoy here! Travel down the beautiful tree lined drive and feast your eyes on the water view. Suzanne provides plentiful breakfast goodies to get your mornings started. Linens and towels are first class. Each place is lovingly appointed with taste and quality furnishings. You won't be disappointed!

We’ve been owners here for almost 30 years. We have paid maintenance fees, paid off the loan etc. it’s a massive disappointment. The place has not been maintained, it looks like it should be razed. Between the lack of cleanliness, the broken toilet seat, lack of simple things, I’d say stay far away. Our other timeshare in Florida has been elk managed and maintained. This one, not. Don’t trade, buy or rent here.

This venue is simply stunning, with rolling, wooded hills in the Blue Ridge mountains, two pools with a waterslide, gorgeous outdoor pavilions, charming cabins, and a breathtaking main lodge with a deck overlooking the pond and an indoor-outdoor bar. Simply put - if I were going to get married again, I'd do it here! There are tons of activities on site, from paddle boarding to paddle boating, fishing, clay shooting, trail running and hiking, and, of course, the pool! Accommodations are clean, beautifully appointed, and charming.

A cottage overlooking rolling hillsides and a beautiful golf course! I have stayed here a few times and love it. The large leaving area, the back porch, the nice kitchen all make this so much better than the comparably priced hotel chain. There is no maid service but that is never a bother. The outside of the cottage was due for some fresh paint and a bit of landscaping but all else was great.

A truly beautiful place! My husband and I had to travel with my aunt to Stephens City, VA last minute over the Christmas holiday due to a family illness. I was looking for accommodations that would keep our aunt close (not wanting her on a different floor of a hotel) and yet provide each of us with some privacy. We were blessed to find Barleyfield Farm Cottage available. A quiet, comfortable house with 2 bedrooms, a bath, living room and large eat in kitchen set on a working apple orchard on a quite road that has unbelievable views and many orchard roads to wander. Helen and Kent welcomed us to their cottage with kindness and warmth, thoughtful people with a beautiful cottage we could come "home" to at the end of each emotional day. The kindness shown by Helen and Kent will remain with us forever.
