A gem of a city easily reached by rail from Liverpool. Small yet packed to the rafters with history, culture and stylish cafe/bar culture. At its heart, the historic black-and-white timbered "rows" provide a shopping experience like no other place on the planet.

City Centre Studio Theatre previously producing plays, comedies, musicals and pantomime throughout the year. We are in the building that used to be known as The Gateway Theatre. The theatre is now closed to make way for the development of the Northgate Project within the city centre.
Just back from the panto - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - first time we've seen a panto by Tip Top Productions and I have to say we thought it was brilliant. A good mix of entertainment for the kids and jokes for the adults, good humoured, great dame, nice ad-libbing, with all the best bits you'd want from a panto. We'll definitely be going again. Well done to all involved!

Wonderful ensemble work from the team both onstage and off ...well done for providing us with a thoroughly entertaining return to live theatre after too long away ...poor weather didn't stop the multi-talented actors. Doubles all round!

Storyhouse is Chester's brand new theatre, cinema, library, restaurant and bar. A renovation of an Art Deco 1930s Odeon, the building houses two theatres, with a home-produced summer season and an autumn touring season encompassing comedy, drama, music and dance. Latest releases and independent film can be found in the cinema, whilst an upstairs bar has panoramic views of Chester.
The story house has been a long time coming but it has been worth the wait. I have been multiple times since opening, for food, a drink, a lecture, a play, a musical and a school trip and every time it has been outstanding. from great shows to delicious food the story house has it all, even a fabulous library and learning space. love it!

The Live Rooms is Chester's newest and largest independent live music venue and nightclub. Our main room has hosted some of the biggest names in music from a diverse range of genres, whilst our side room provides an ideal space for smaller, more intimate shows.
Love this venue. Been a few times now. If you like watching bands at an intimate venue. Then this is the place to be ????????
