Art Deco Theater and Vintage Bar set in the heart of Little Germany in Bradford. Home of the best late night live entertainment. Bradford Playhouse is a diverse Theatre venue, offering a wide range of different environments and Theatre spaces. From intimidate acting venues, all the way to a grandiose Theatre stage.
On first impressions of the Playhouse I thought it was very shabby and run down and in dire need of National Lottery funding. The bar area was interesting......more shabby than chic. That said, the warmth and friendliness of all the staff was really nice and I was impressed how they took particular care and attention to people with mobility issues etc. The pantomime itself was excellent, great cast especially Buttons who gave Billy Pearce a run for his money. The drinks in the bar and ice cream in the interval were very sensibly priced I thought. I thought it was really lovely that the cast were down in the bar after the show posing for photos etc - a really lovely touch. I only booked my ticket a few days before the show after reviews from work colleagues and I am really glad I went - a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

This is a new comedy venue located on East Parade in Leeds. Had trouble locating it initially but eventually found it in the building is called Avenue HQ. There is a nice bar where we had drinks and a snack before the show which was pleasant then onto the show downstairs in the cabaret room. Did not know what to expect but compere (Danny Deegan) came on and he was very good and did very well with the tough audience and a great 'warm up'. This was followed by 2 acts which were very good followed by a 10-15 break and onto a headline act which was excellent. Super evening, really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend. We will certainly go there again.
