Going in the early morning is my favorite. Open dawn til dusk. Some very tame deer linger next to the road just after dawn and graze in the ball field. An abundance of hawks, herons, ducks, ibis, & egrets call this shady park home and some will let you take their picture. Shade is important in Florida. Here you can escape the heat and have a scenic walk under an abundant canopy of trees. Besides being next to Tarpon Lake ( panoramic views on the west side of the park), the park has smaller ponds in the interior. The largest pond has a trail all the way around, about half a mile of walking. A smaller pond has bridge crossings, so you can stop and look for alligators and birds. There are several boardwalk nature trails that go out over the marshland next to the lake through a jungle of palmettos and oaks. There are stands of huge live oaks around many of the picnic shelters. Plenty of facilities near picnic shelters including BBQ grills, restrooms, water fountains. The south end has a concrete boat launch for Tarpon Lake, and a secluded network of trails next to Brooker Creek. Lots of parking everywhere and it is well maintained. There are run- free dog parks for big dogs and little dogs (two separate ones) but dogs can go out on roads & trails if leashed. Even when the picnic shelters are full of activity, you can still find quiet trails and tranquility. The beauty and abundance of wildlife is one of the best in the area.

On our way home and decided to stop by to check this place out. And glad we did! We sat at the sushi bar and had some of the best sushi around this area prepared by Marin. The mojito I drank was well made. Got to watch the Lightning game while having dinner. Also enjoyed the live band playing outside. Didn't get a chance to see the comedy show, but will next time. Overall, this was an enjoyable time and hope you get a chance to experience it too.

Stopped by because cigars stores attract me like malls attract my wife! I hit the jackpot with this place. A supremely well furnished cigar lounge with a well stocked bar and a huge humidor offering a correspondingly huge selection of cigars. The attendants were helpful in pointing out specials. The only negative was the fact that the wife was with me and she didn't want to hang out there for 6 hours like I did!

We enjoyed our visit to Stilts Brewery in PalmHarbor, FL . My husband loved the beer with jalapeños and they also had wine! The brewmaster took a lot of time with us highlighting his various brews. Very friendly place

Found this place while looking for wineries in the Dunedin, FL area. Don't blink or you might miss it. I didn't try any of the wines because I'm not a big wine drinker, but the beers were great. They have a PB&J Beer that was pretty damn good. Mix that with the sangria slushie & you have a PB&J sandwich minus the bread. Definitely a must try. I really wish I remembered the bartender's name. She was great, but she's only there Fridays and Saturdays.
