Always looking for local beer, we happened on this great location with a grassy, backyard seating area with a hilltop view. Outdoor games, fire pits and distanced seating. Staff was friendly and inviting. The Wobbly Pot IPA has a bright, hoppy flavor! Families with children as well as couples were enjoying the hospitality and pretty location.

Was planning a trip to the area and happened upon a travel article that referenced the Mushroom House Tours. Found there was space Saturday afternoon and booked it online. Enjoyed a lively and fun hour with Edith at the wheel as we rode the extended golf cart through the streets of Charlevoix learning about Earl Young, the Mushroom Houses and Boulder Park neighborhood. Well worth the time and I think much more fun than the self-guided tour. Only suggestion - they may want to consider a "Confirmation" so when you book tickets, you know you are confirmed. Otherwise a great way to learn about interesting architecture and the architect's personality.

Castle Farms

Open year round, Castle Farms is one of Northern Michigan's top historic attractions, as well as one of the Midwest's premier wedding venues. Visitors can stroll throughout the magnificent stone buildings dating back to 1918, and enjoy gorgeous gardens. A variety of museum quality collections featuring castles, antique toys, and royalty memorabilia from around the world are displayed throughout the buildings. The Castle's 1918 Museum showcases items from that time era, plus World War I memorabilia. Children delight in feeding the huge rainbow trout swimming in the Reflection Pond, playing a game of giant chess, or hide-and-seek with the fairies and gnomes dwelling in the Enchanted Forest. Our Self-Guided Tours offer Scavenger Hunt tours for children, too! Everyone loves The Castle's Garden Railroad; with more than 1/2 mile of track and 68 G-scale trains, it's one of the largest in the State. Listed on both the National and State Historic Registries, Castle Farms is a world-class historic property where old world charm and modern-day elegance enchant visitors of all ages.

Quiet beach, great for sunset. We found Petoskey stones there. Only a few other people there in the evenings, one small annoyance is a few were smoking, one a cigar. I wish beaches were non-smoking. It is not pleasant for those downwind. Other than that , people were polite and kept their distance

Cherry Republic

**We are open!!** There’s a reason this fair city is named Charlevoix the Beautiful. Perched on the shores of no less than three freshwater lakes — Lake Michigan, Round Lake, and Lake Charlevoix — this was the ideal location of Cherry Republic’s first Up North outpost. Opened in 2009 on Bridge Street in lovely downtown Charlevoix, we invite you to stop by and sample some of our 200+ cherry products including salsa, jams, chocolate covered cherries and much more. You’ll also enjoy daily (and complimentary!) wine and soda pop tasting. Damaged by a fire in December 2016, our Charlevoix store has recently been completed renovated and is brighter and more welcoming than ever before with new flooring, a redesigned bar, and an outdoor space to enjoy your favorite cherry treats. Be sure to stop by and see our pretty new store!

My family has been enjoying these products for years!! When the children heard we were visiting they placed their orders, cherry concentrate, cherry wine, cherry pie filling, coffee and hard cherry cider!! You can’t go wrong with anything in this store!! Parking was on the street with meters. Staff was super helpful and very friendly. Alas no free samples due to the dreaded COVID-19. Always fun to restock!!

Cold beer, the perfect burger, and lightly prepared french fries. The perfect meal at a fair price-which is hard to find in these resort towns. TVs were kinda difficult to watch since they are mounted up so high.

The lighthouse is right in town and accessible to Michigan Beach. Such a beautiful sight and a nice walk to the end of the pier. If it is a warm weather visit, jump into lake Michigan after your stroll down the pier.
