The Surf Wala surf school was established on Arambol Beach, North Goa, in 2010 with a simple desire in mind; to share our passion for surfing with anyone, locals and visitors alike, who might wish to join the growing community of surfers here. Our little tribe of board riders has steadily increased as news has spread that it is, in fact, possible to surf in Goa. Surf Wala exists in order to continue to encourage that message, to provide surf board hire, surf lessons, equipment and advice to anyone who feels enticed to begin surfing in Goa, and most of all to provide a base for these people to come together. We believe that the special union a person develops with the ocean when they surf lays the foundation for a holistic manner of living which encourages physical and spiritual well-being, increased environmental and social awareness, as well as a pure primal joy in feeling the rush of riding a wave. It is this experience which draws us back day after day. “To learn patience, to feel awe, and to know exhilaration in the element of which we are all largely composed is a repeatedly enthralling experience we think everybody should have the opportunity to try.”

This popular beach features a fresh water lake that merges with the sea.
Superb QuAlity food with well mannered staff. Strongly recommend this Dream of Goa restaurant. There is no comparison of food in entire Goa, specially seafood ????

I love Keri Beach! Much more serene and peaceful than the busier beaches of Goa, cleaner and more natural. Here there are only about 10 beach restaurants and long stretches of white sand disappearing into the rocks at the far end. Many people live out here to escape the traffic and loud dance parties in Arambol, but still be 15 mins drive away from the action. A beautiful place to live (the apartments are larger and cheaper than the rest of North Goa) and a lovely place for a peaceful and day out.

Nestled in the shade of palm, elephant fruit and mango trees, just a few minutes’ walk away from the sea, our Centre in North Goa offers a peaceful and natural environment for Yoga practice. Although located in the heart of Arambol, the Yoga Centre provides a serene retreat. The practice space, constructed of natural materials, offers a great sense of openness and oneness with the surroundings.
My husband and I did the five day introduction to Iyengar yoga. The course provides a good grounding in the basics of Iyengar yoga which will be invaluable to those starting their yoga journey or for more experienced yogis who are keen to avoid injury as they progress with their practice. There is an emphasis on footwork in order to establish strong and stable foundations for standing poses. We also practiced twists, back bends and inversions using props to ensure everyone was able to try each pose regardless of experience. The emphasis is on alignment, the meditative aspect of yoga and injury prevention. If you are impatient, want fast paced western style flow in a swanky shala or are keen to show everyone how flexible you are, this might not be the course for you. This course is all about getting to the root of asanas and to the root of what yoga is actually about. What impressed me most about the course was the dedicated one-to one support each student gets. There is support and modifications for everyone regardless of ability, age, illness or injury. We stayed in the building adjacent to the centre. We had a spacious private room with a fan and hot water. It was basic but comfortable. The huts looked a little rustic for us but probably perfectly adequate for hardy young backpackers who have not yet grown accustomed to their creature comforts! Having done the introductory course (which everyone must do before being able to book further courses, regardless of experience), we are definitely keen to try the intensive three week course on our next trip to India. A special thanks to Mona, who was lovely!

It is an excellent view point allowing you to see magnificent beach views as well as sun set views from top. How To Reach: After coming on to the Arambol beach, you have to walk to your right. At the end of the beach you see mountain. You have to keep walking by the side of mountain. You will see plenty of visitors already walking on this route. The route has plenty of hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops. Shops starts to open from 9 am onwards. You have to cross the small rock sections inside the sea beach area. I have attached photo of it. During high tide, one can't go to that place. There are following things after crossing rock section: 1. Sweet Lake (Small water pond beside sea beach used for swimming). Photos of sweet lake are attached. 2. Mountain Top From Where Paragliding Is Done (Price is Rs.2000 for one ride). It provides excellent views from top. I have attached photos. It is a trek of 10 to 15 minutes. Visitors are littering many things on top of mountain & making clean environment a polluted one. Moreover, I found that the hotel owners below are using it as a garbage point. Thru the tree bush, you have to go on other side to get the view of main Arambol beach. It is more than 20 minutes trek on top. 3. Trek To Banyan Tree (Not Worth) Adjacent to sweet lake, road is there leading to Banyan tree. There is nothing, don't waste your time to visit Banyan tree. I went in the morning at 8 am & returned back by 9 am. Please see the attached photos with appropriate tag & description for your easy understanding. It is a must place to visit when at Arambol beach.

If Eden have any lake then this is the replica of that very lake. Fairies and mermaid all around. An excellent view. The lake is surrounded by hills at both the sides.Take a dip or swim or hire a couple of beds to chill.Anyone can spend some time just relaxing with a sip of beer.To reach that place you have to walk directly by the Arambol beach through the market, crossing the Waghcolomb beach and finally reach the paradise welcomig by the coconut trees.Must visit place. Please don't drink and drive and keep the area clean.
