The Southern Oregon coast is home to isolated beaches, rugged cliffs with breathtaking views of the Pacific and quaint seaside towns. If you stay in the Bay Area, go whale watching at Coos Bay or explore the region on a bike or a hike along the coastline. Antique shoppers will want to explore old town Bandon while golfers hit the links at the world-renowned Bandon Dunes golf course. And don’t forget to bring your fishing gear – you’ll want to cast for salmon and other Pacific Northwest fish at Gold Beach, one of the region’s top fishing spots.
The Central Oregon Coast is a great place for fishing, clamming, hiking, golfing and other outdoor activities. Take the kids and visit the Sea Lion Caves near Florence, the world’s largest. Head up to Newport for a view of the state’s second-tallest lighthouse and shopping in this seaside town popular with vacationers for the last century. Go fly a kite on the beach in Lincoln City, kite capital of the world.
The Northern Oregon Coast offers a relaxing way to enjoy the region. A stay in the scenic town of Astoria on the Washington border will allow you to explore the western edge of the Lewis and Clark trail, with views of the Columbia River and the Pacific. Walk the sandy beaches in Seaside and Cannon Beach and then grab saltwater taffy and other treats while shopping these seaside towns.

Stopped in for a quick pint and a growler fill and stumbled upon a gem. Todd was a great host, pouring us some samples and pints before we settled on a growler fill of the Belgian strong and a crowler of pale. This brewery sticks with the idea of brewing fewer beers to an amazing standard and it definitely works for me. Each one of the four beers on tap were great stylistically and tasted amazing. Thanks for the great beer! I'm just mad I didn't bring more home.

Beachcrest Brewing Company is an independent brewery and taproom serving artisanal ales on the Central Oregon Coast.
The first time we stopped in was for a tasting after a great bike ride out to the beach on the trail near the brewery. This stop off was a great test that led us back the following evening for our own growler of beer to take back to the hotel and enjoy on our own! You can't go wrong with any of the taps here, but shout out to the Milkshake IPA and guest tap of Baked Apple Cider! The staff was super friendly at the atmosphere was laid back and vacation worthy.

We feature 15 taps, spread between our ciders and beer from the Pacific Northwest, along with appetizers and snacks. Outside food is welcome. We also have food trucks Friday and Saturday. In addition to our ciders, we carry hats, t-shirts and other Bandon Rain merchandise.

They were closed on the day we were heading to Tillamook but website said we could email for an appt. I did this and emailed my order, which was bagged and friendly. Lindsey was nice and helpful. Would love to stop back when we could drink inside.

Small Town Brewing, World Class Beer Off the Wagon Food Truck on location for your dining pleasure ~ plus guest food trucks coming by! Good dogs welcome!
Now at a new location, with nicer, roomier facilities. The folk here are as friendly as ever, and the handcrafted beer is outstanding. Appetizers and food is also available--ask about their "Off the Wagon" menu. On my visit, I tried these three, all excellent brews! If you like amber beers, you must try this one: Anastacia's Amber ABV 5.6 IBU 49 Rich with caramel and hints of sun toasted grain, a generous hopping with Willamettes impart a surprising and citrus finish. If you like brown beers, you must try this one: Chloe Brown Ale ABV 5.6 IBU 22 Roasted malt and chocolate pop in both flavor and aroma. Leaning towards an English style Brown, Chloe is a bit on the dry side with a rich, nutty character. Low hop aroma and negligible bitterness. If you like red beers, you must try this one: Raymond’s Fathead Red ABV 5.6 IBU 22 Robust double IPA, deeply copper-red, heavy bodied with lush caramel overtones. All that malt is balanced with a big hop finish.

We stopped in to this cozy brewery while on an expedition of breweries in Astoria. While the selection of beers was not as expansive as some breweries, the rye IPA was one of the best we found! Real nice finish, slight rye flavor and none of the sweetness found in some IPA around. They nailed this one. Service was great and really friendly. Definitely stop by this winner of a brewery. The also have a great outside area with food trucks for those lovely spring days and evenings. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

This is where it all started back in 1996. Here, in front of a rundown old building at the water’s edge, stood three enthusiastic young folks whose thirst for great beer overshadowed their understanding of what it would take to build a brewery. They did it anyway. Welcome to Pelican Brewing Company and its iconic beachfront restaurant and brewery, where guests are welcomed with beer-inspired cuisines, award-winning beer, and front row seats to all the action at Cape Kiwanda. Cheers, fellow fanatics. This is as good as it gets.
While in Pacific City for 6 nights we enjoyed everything Pelican Brewing Pub & Brewery has to offer daily. The Pacific NW Cioppino is the best we have ever eaten, and their clam chowder is wonderful with a clam in every spoonful! The views are incredible and the staff obviously loves working there. A must stop when in Pacific City.

Fort George is a must visit when at the coast. The brewery is a massive center of great craft brew and great fresh food options. The views are as incredible as the hazy IPAs, WC IPAs, and of course stouts. The merch is always unique and I have a hard time not buying a shirt or hat every visit. Get here!

Rogue brewery is a very cool brewery in Newport, Oregon. Free parking, and enough area to park RVs. The food is really good (try the fish and chips), and of course, their beer selection is awesome (the cherry chocolate beer is one of the best dark beers I have ever tasted). If you are in Newport, I highly recommend eating and shopping (at the gift shop) at Rouge Brewery!
