This area is famous in Japan and the world for its purity of water, so it is only fit to visit the local sake brewery to learn about their traditional brewing method, taste and buy some products. The owners of this brewery where there the day I visited and were wonderfully friendly. I was given a short tour of the brewery process, got to eat some of the very expensive sweet potatoes and walked away with some exclusive bottles of sake and shouchu to enjoy when I returned home.

It is a shochu collection which lasts more than 100 years in Nobeoka city. You can enjoy the museum-like exterior and the magnificent natural scenery. Tasting, purchasing shochu, visiting the warehouse is possible. There is also a parking lot where the mini bus can be stopped.
