We stayed 3 nights at the Terravina. The staff, including the owner Lorena, were at all times helpful, friendly and understanding. A nice breakfast buffet in the morning with delicious coffee. Our room, 209, was small but very clean and pleasant with a small sitting area and comfortable bed. It faced the street and there was some noise but not bad. The bathroom had some problems: very small, rather dark with poor lighting (more like a candle), a showerhead at a difficult angle, a slippery tub. The bathtub/shower really needs a safety bar to hold onto. Another problem for us, as older travelers, were the somewhat steep steps to reach our room--with no handrail. I spoke to Lorena about this and she said she will remedy this problem. The hotel is within a short walking distance to the central plaza, shops, restaurants, and several interesting museums.

We have never stayed at the hotel because we live close by but we regularly enjoy the restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating with great views. The spa is available for two hours for 100 B's. It includes a steam room (Bolivians call it a wet sauna) and a jacuzzi. And the hotel has a hiking trail up the hill behind the hotel with great views. They have many other amenities as well: outdoor pool, zip line, etc. Highly recommend for a relaxing time in nature.

As long as you don't expect a luxury hotel in Tarija you'll be fine with this lace. It's quite new, very clean and has friendly staff. Location is good, too - five minutes to the main square. Beds and air con were excellent. Breakfast was OK.

We chose the Hotel Victoria Plaza due to it's location across from the square. The hotel was adequate and we had one of the suites. The room was good size but all of the furniture was stained. So, they need to have it cleaned. We were here for 4 days and no one spoke any English. We speak Spanish so it was not a problem but be warned if you don't. The internet was good and the breakfast was terrible!!!! If you did not arrive by 7am, there was nothing much left to eat and they did not seem to replensih the buffet. The first day we went to get some juice and no glasses. We also wanted some fruit but most of it had been consumed. The hotel could be very nice if they upped their game. Until they do, we would not recommend for anyone to stay here.

The hotel is built in 1996 in a spanish colonial style. It has a patio with a fountain and a big palm tree. Behind the hotel there is swimmingpool 24 meters with one part for diving at 3 meters depth and a big shallow part for small kids. There is a tennis court along the river in front of the hotel. It;s all close to towncentre 5 minutes by car and 15 minutes by bus A or B (busstop at 300 meters)
Thais is the best place to be if you want to stay in Tarija. If have been staying in this hotel every time I go to Bolivia Tarija. It is a little bit far from the city, but that is the beauty of it. Anyway if about 15 minutes you are in the city with the bus or a taxi. In this hotel you can use the pool and also the tennis court. I recommend this hotel to everybody.

LIGHT PALACE. It offers comfortable rooms with private bath, cable TV, Internet wi fi plus a delicious continental breakfast. We are located in the heart of the city of Tarija, in front of the main market and a short walk from the main square, House of Culture, museum, shops, restaurants, squares and walks.
Accused us of stealing a towel when we didn’t even take one out of the room. completely unorganized regarding our reservations. they don’t accept cards even though they have a card reader, simply because they don’t want to pay the card reader fine. The only reason I’ll give them a star is because of the amazing shower.
