Our Inn is located in North Bay, on beautiful Lake Nipissing in Northern Ontario. Our unique Inn, a haven of tranquillity, awaits to enfold you in luxury and service. Create an unforgettable getaway in one of our luxurious suites. We also have variety of different types of rooms to suit your needs.
We stayed last summer (it's a lovely place so we returned) and there were drunk, loud people at 2:00 am outside at a common area picnic table. One of the men was using filthy language because he appeared to be obviously impaired. We called the owners who spoke to them but just told them to move, which they did to the front near the water and it was even louder. Owners didn't monitor the situation and we cancelled the rest of our stay. In the morning the owners said they couldn't control this. My question is "then who is and who controls the property". I wanted the one night refunded because we did not sleep and management didn't ensure it stopped either by monitoring themselves or calling the police.. Th owner also said something strange to me that he cannot control people who drink and drive. The owner doesn't seem to know where private property starts and ends and what is public property. Absolutely unfortunate. We will definitely not return.

Room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent - service and food. Tried the butter chicken and toffee pudding, excellent. Great service too. Like the secure entrance with the automated doors and card access entry. Wifi is fast and easy. Lastly, breakfast is convenient and well-organized. Thank you for a great stay!

A wonderful place to lay your head! My husband and I were travelling from Iroquois Falls (northeastern Ontario) to Quebec City via Montreal. We got on the road around 8pm after I'd gotten off work heading south to North Bay. When we arrived in North Bay, both of my usual haunts were booked...so I turned to TripAdvisor to find the next suitable stay along the highway. I called the Welcome Inn while in North Bay to confirm they had a room available and continued the 40 minutes along Hwy 17. Arrival at the motel was late... nearly midnight. We were greeted by a lovely and personable young lady. She confirmed that we were the ones who called ahead as it was their last available room and check in was a breeze! Paid for the room (+/- 100/night +tax) and provided a credit card for a damage deposit and we were off to our room. Typical 1950's drive up motel. Rooms were adequate in size, clean and quiet! I had a nice hot shower after an evening of travel, a cold beer as supplied by myself (ice was not apparently available... however I'm sure they'd have obliged had we asked) and we retired to a comfortable bed and some satellite television. We left late (around 1030 am) and we're only mildly inconvenienced by the lack of in room coffee by about 1 km. Tim Hortons is just down the road and sure beats the typical powdered creamer found in hotel rooms anyway. Locked our room, drove the 150' to the office, deposited the key in a locked drop box and were on our way. All in all another example of an older, well kept family dream. Would absolutely recommend to anyone passing through, or spending time in Mattawa. I've traveled extensively throughout Canada and places like this should be celebrated. Many thanks to our hosts for their hospitality. Holding our room on a phone call and my word of commitment at 11 on a Thursday night in the summer was incredible to say the very least!!! We're so pleased to have been able to stay with you ❤️❤️❤️

Having lived in the 'great white north' of the Almaguin Highlands back in the early 2000's, it was like medicine for my Soul, prescribed by my Dr. when I had the opportunity to visit the Caswell Resort last weekend. I was lucky enough to rent a room where the front door opened onto the beach. When I arrived early Friday afternoon, the sun was shining and I had the opportunity to just unplug, unwind and relax. There weren't many guests around that I could see, until it was time for the bonfire later that night. After being locked down for over a year and a half, I had forgotten how the smell of a bonfire instantly translates to home, and feeling safe. As all restaurants in Sundridge are still closed for indoor dining, the Caswell provided the opportunity for you to order from the menu, at the front desk and when it's ready, they'd call you to come pick it up ... keeping it easy and simple while being socially distanced from all other guests. They have water toys waiting for you at the beach, that are FREE to use and so much fun to try, be careful, because fun can equate to getting wet! The Caswell Resort is located on Lake Bernard, which is noted as being a lake that is 2.5 km wide and 7 km long and the most notable fact, it has no islands! Last year, the Caswell Resort changed hands, three (3) days after COVID hit us here in Ontario and after speaking with the new owner, I'm excited to hear how they are embracing living in the north and what their plans are for the future, and the future of the Caswell Resort Hotel. Don't pass up the opportunity to stay here, if you're presented with the opportunity, you won't be disappointed.

Overlooking Callander Bay and the South Shore Of Lake Nippissing, Terrace Suites has been providing picture perfect sunsets and life long memories to travelers from around the world for over 16 years. Our 20 beautifully appointed and newly renovated suites ensure you'll have the space to relax after taking in all that Northern Ontario has to offer. And our convenient location ensures easy access
My husband and I decided to spend the night in North Bay, and when we can we try to find lodgings that are independently owned, especially after the last couple of years. So, if you are someone like us, then Terrace Suites is the place for you. They are still in the renovation process, but what they have done so far is great. We stayed in room 213, had a lake view and the room was so cute. Beautiful bathroom (yes I would have liked more counter space but really not a big deal). Small fridge with freezer, microwave and Nespresso machine. Very comfortable king size bed and pillows (and we are picky about that). Small sectional and you could swivel the TV to face the bed. Very clean. Six minutes to the Casino and 15 min to the waterfront. Would have no problem recommending this hotel to friends and would definitely stay there again.

We wanted someplace in walking distance to Churchill’s Steakhouse. We were pleasantly surprised by how well maintained the property was. Even though it is an older motel it was clean and had nice newer decor with a modern look. The owner was very courageous & friendly and the cost was acceptable, compared to most.
